Exactly how if feel. Probably because we both know MFC hasnt actually schieved anything yet, and we are keeping our powder dry until the flag is ours (if it actualy happens)

Just a step along the journey, but there are only a couple of steps left to negotiate.........

I've been like this all year but we gotta try enjoy the ride.
It's been a season out've the box so far.

As my Swans supporter mate told me a couple weeks ago.
He never thought they were actually any good in 2005 until it was over.

I'd love to know how our most important player pulls up in Oliver. He definitely copped a whack in that game and didn't look the same after it.

I was a bit worried about the (deliberate) knee he copped in the back from Birchall in marking contest....for a split second i was thinking kidney..

The week off he definitely will appreciate

Couldn’t watch because I’m on cricket tour in a quintessential Suffolk village where there’s only intermittent electricity, never mind wifi, but make no mistake, the web-fingered locals are now suitably educated in the storied history and present successes of the greatest team on God’s earth. All are now on board.

Seriously, love you all.

Anyone keen to chip in to get some Demonlander’s over here for the game? Quick plan, just throwing it out there: Book a private jet (preferably stealth), HALO jump from the jet into the Indian Ocean off Rottnest Island. I’ll have a rhib waiting. Land in the ocean, climb into the rhib then we’ll move under-darkness to a secret location near Optus Stadium. Extraction plan to come. It’s just an idea at this stage, feel free to spitball.

Alex Neal-Bullen played his best game ever I reckon

Ive seen better in H&A GY but nonetheless it was up there given the circumstances.

Composed with ball in hand and played a great link / utility role.  Seemed to be everywhere tonight.

Still stacks of upside in a team sense IMV.  A few missed link up plays coming inside 50 , aside from Clarry who shined here and BB's needle to Macca.

Can we afford to push Tracc inside 50 for longer, get him closer to goal while Macca/BB are resting to provide a different look up forward?  Looks at home inside 30 and loves a goal.

Although Macca was a bit of a decoy tonight and helped Fritta he also appeared to get in the road of BB a few times.

Would like to see him playing a little higher, getting his opponent away from BB, fritta & Kozzie to make room for these fellas to work in.  The alternative is Melk but not sure we can trust here.

Hibbo is a must in for Smith for mine, especially if we end up playing Port.

Hunt will be very unlucky to miss given he's been in the team all year up to injury and has had a VG season.

Thought Sparrow was VERY good tonight (for a rookie) and IMHO was our 2nd best mid behind Clarry.  And I'm talking pressure, composure, finish, body positioning, ground ball comtesting.  Didn't think he was quite ready for the big stage but came of age tonight and makes us even more formidable through the middle.  Was he on Zorko for much of the night or a fair Chunk?  If so he appeared to get under his skin and kept him relatively quiet.  To have the better of or even nullify such an experienced senior player ....wowee.

Harmes a solid game and played a crucial pressure/link role just on the periphery.

Maxy's first half was superb and played the remainder of the game out nicely.

May was solid as.  Lever, a few mishaps in the first quarter and a little sloppy/fumbly plus the 50, but improved thereafter.

Lingers back to his best two way running and a nice goal in front.  Would have loved to see him hand ball to ANB towards the end of the first quarter runing towards 50 given he was coming inside on his non-preferred.

Viney solid and didn't make too many mistakes.  There was a play coming through the middle in the last with Clarry where i thought Clarry could've shared with Viney & likely snagged a goal or at least kept the ball in our 50 a bit longer.    Would have snuffed the Lions out at about the 10 minute mark had we converted here.  Being picky but always room for improvement.  Learnings!

BB very good early.  Would just like him to give that hand ball off to Kozzie straight after he marks when Kozzie calls for it & he's free and clear around the back (on one occasion tonight and there was another in the last week or two as well).  Spargo also missed this same play option to Clarry last week.  Luckily Viney stepped in, followed up and got it out to Clarry while getting tackled for a lovely goal around the corner.

Fritta a beauty tonight.  Liked his pressure without ball also.

Great first up result.  Sets us up to recover & reset for a really solid tilt.

Sounds a bit complicated, I was just planning on borrowing Tony Mokbel's yacht and wig and hoping the winds are favourable.

Might stop at Rottnest rathing than sailing all the way up the Swan to Optus just to be on the safe side I guess.

Looking at the rules and regulations to get into Perth, and it says military personnel can get an exemption.

In completely unrelated news, I've just joined the army!

In all seriousness, does anyone know with certainty the current state of affairs re:border restrictions? I'm looking for a stickied thread here but can't see it (and there's so much conflicting info both on the internet, and from people I'm talking to). Can you currently fly into Perth from Vic but it's just that you have to then foot the bill for a 2 week hotel quarantine stay? I work from home (and could just as easily do so there) so I'm more than curious (even if it's not ultimately a possibility, in which case so be it). Anyway, go dees!

A direct flight to Epstein island and then swim the rest of the way was my initial plan but yours has merit

Both plans sound abit sharky for my liking.

Gawn - 7 tackles

the most tackles in the ground tonight ❤️💙

For me he was BOG tonight. Just relentless. Never gave in. He was what finals footy is all about.

Just loving our captain right now

Very even performance tonight, if only it was at the G. Simply awesome again!

The only significant error made was at the selection table, leaving out Hibberd who would have been able to better subdue Cameron.

WA currently have Victoria listed as ‘medium risk’

Medium risk jurisdictions

You are not permitted to enter without an approval through G2G PASS.

If permitted entry, you must self-quarantine at a suitable premises for 14 days. If a suitable premises is not available, you will be directed to a Government approved quarantine facility at your own expense.

Approved travellers are subject to a COVID-19 test within 48 hours of arrival and on day 12 of quarantine, or at any point when symptoms develop. A mask must be worn while travelling to and from the COVID Clinic.

You must wear a mask from when you enter WA until you arrive at suitable self-quarantine premises or government approved quarantine facilities. In addition if travelling by air, you must also wear a mask on the flight while in WA airspace, and while inside the airport (with some exceptions – e.g. children under the age of 12 are not required to wear a mask).

I sent in a WA border exemption application this week. Under reason for request I selected medical. In notes I wrote “if I don’t get to see Melbourne win a flag I’ll die. This is a matter of life and death”.
I will let you know if Mark gets back to me.

Rhys “Sandy Hook was a hoax” Mathieson.

He’s an awful human.

Loved the vision of the Lions warm down post game. Everyone walking in circles while being drilled by their fitness team to bend and stretch out.

The clown Mathieson was just walking around in the circle chatting to some bloke not even participating. Arrogance personified.

I must say i loved the way all the boys May, Gawn, Viney got stuck into Daniher after he tried to rough up Bowey late in the first Q after Olivers snap.. .......good on ya Joe....your a real tough guy.

Oliver for me as BOG.

Those kicks into the 50 were beautiful, as were his hands when collecting the ball and his run and support around the field made a difference.
