Ok folks if we happen to win the Premiership who would consider getting a tattoo and what demob logo or other option would you get? what does one think of this?Logo.thumb.jpg.68fc99f2fb194b1ea394ed50943baf46.jpg

I've always liked the MFC logo below. The only problem i have is i have an arm which will give a tattoo artist nightmares (very skinny). I suppose i can get it on my forehead.

Also, i don't think a simple MFC would look nice on it's own. Needs something to go with it.

already made a tattoo joke to my mum, she did not find it as funny as I did.

Even at my age (I was probably just a little shy of the legal age in '64...) I have joked with my family about doing this. Easy when it hasn't really been a prospect...

Simple, small, well-concealed, but proudly borne and worn will be my go. Probably the 'MFC' and maybe the year.

With room for addition.

The chat group we have going is called "Dees neck tattoo".... I know it is ridiculous and it wont be a neck but definitely thinking about it. I'm scarred internally by the love of this club might as well get an outside one too go with it.

He looks like a walking notice-board.

I agree with her!

I wanna get something like this on my inner forearm…

this is a rough idea (spacing is all wrong etc.) but it’s along those lines.

So we want to look like Collingwood and Richmond supporters do we?

Taking yourself very low IMO.

snap! said in the "what would you do if we..." thread i had the same idea to go on the heart but need to add some more sizzle and artsiness to it but that logo is super underrated, very clean and is recognisable through history as this beautiful sporting family

This is what I would get if I got one.

And it would be this one, the old man brought me a Dees flag in 76, the year before I was born which I still have.

Will be interesting seeing the difference between the amount of tattoo shops booked out after the Tigers flag compared to ours given the reputation of our supporters.... (With apologies to the legend who is Ang)

We’re not talking full sleeve tattoos or full legs etc. According to my hipster son, the totally in thing is getting little individual tattoos, usually colourful and not screaming “I’ve done time!” A great example of this is Tom Liberatore. And Josh Bruce being another. Yes, Libba jnr’s tatts aren’t the best but that style is what’s trending right now.

Care to clarify, DD?

A couple of lads and I went to the Dees v Crows game in Adelaide this season, you can tell from the state we were in that we ended up having a kebab after the game. While we were waiting for the worst kebab in the southern hemisphere I looked over and was aghast to see the local lads lining up for a stamp. No doubt to commemorate the win for the evening.

  • NON-MFC: Round 12

Round 12 kicks off with the Brisbane hosting Essendon at the Gabba as the Lions aim to solidify their top-two position against an injury-hit Bombers side seeking to maintain momentum after a win over Richmond. On Friday night it's a blockbuster at the G as the Magpies look to extend their top of the table winning streak while the Hawks strive to bounce back from a couple of recent defeats and stay in contention for the Top 4. On Saturday the Suns, buoyed by 3 wins on the trot, face the Dockers in a clash crucial for both teams' aspirations this season. The Suns want to solidify their Top 4 standing whilst the Dockers will be desperate to break into the 8.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
