Weirdly, as another poster who falls in this category (although not in terms of post frequency!), I'm pretty sure I had Hunt listed in my faves at one point too. Must have been squeezed out. Although, looking at my current list, it could do with an update. It's just too hard to choose these days!

Welcome to the Jayden fan club!

Something about the lad.  Clearly a fave of DL female posters.

Thank you sooooo much, IHW! This is awesome. I especially love the K-Rock commentary; they didn’t even bother to hide their chagrin for Guthrie and Close. 😆

I will never get sick of watching this ❤️

I am sorry to break this to you guys. Jayden was my favourite player a few years ago, but us gingers must unite. Clarry is my favourite now by a long long way.

I still love Hunt though. And Eddy Langdon is definitely a favourite as well.

Jaded, you've previously informed us that you are Jewish and now a ginger. You're not this guy, are you? Surely not...

Another ginger over here. I’m all for ginger unity but I don’t think I could ever love Clarrie the most. There’s just something about him. In any guernsey other than ours I feel like he’d annoy the crap outta me.

Love Jayden. Again, there’s something about him, but in a good way. 😁

Oh I love a cheeky bastard ginger. I am very much here for his vibe!
And I love that he was a fat kid who got told to lose weight or nobody would draft him,  and he's now probably the best midfielder in the competition.

Also can confirm I am not a Pratt by any relation.

Good to see unlike the Adelaide game, when the cats player thumped the ball into the stand, 3 of our players aggressively appealed for the 50.

Great point! That’s what you wanna see.

Don’t blame Danger; Scott gives me the sh!ts too…

And Scott can keep his excuses - that group will know exactly what they are. Their self-doubt will take them to a semi final loss.

Pls.

Henderson took 15 marks which is a great effort.

Its incredible Max got to take that mark somewhat uncontested.

Great kick from Lever. I bet he'd be a great forward.

You lot have let the endorphins cloud your judgement.

McLaughlin is the worst. For mine he’s the whitened teethed face of the appalling state the commentary of our game is in. Combined with Darcy and Richardson, my ears were bleeding and I’m just glad I was still able to enjoy the game in spite of their presence in the call.

Fair enough Nasher. Just happy to get a mention :p

I honestly feel that was a factor and agree its something we don't do enough. Petty has a good read of the game for a young player to appeal.

Not sure if mentioned, but Hamish McLachlan’s call at the end of the game was brilliant.

Would have much rather had HUDDO going crazy Thought 7 coverage was very average and underwhelming at best.  .

To Channel 7, the football is just clickbait to get to you sucked in to watching Married At First Sight, Celebrities Renovating On Ice, and other higher rating shows. And to stop you watching the opposition channels when the other shows aren't on.

To the Channel 7 sports department, the show is "Brian Taylor, World's Greatest Showman, And His Amazing Team Of Wits And Characters." And they think they're doing a DVD commentary track to the visual background of the quaint game of Aussie Rules Football. Tonight, Brian and his team of entertainers perform to the backing of the Swans versus Kangaroos match. Which team has the real shinboner spirit? It's bound to be a barrel of laughs as Brian and the boys talk and joke their way over 120 minutes of players running around on a large oval.

He left without paying the c$350k balance of his $2.5m 'donation'

He dobbed us into the AFL for salary cap rorting. The League proceeded to fine the club $600,000 (of which $250,000 was suspended), and the club lost its 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks at the national draft for two years.

6 players received tax audits

People wonder why Melbourne had no decent players in the 26-30 yo category during our prolonged poor period - there's your reason. Also why we have to appoint the youngest ever Captain and Jack Grimes as we have no senior players to speak of.

As far as I am concerned Gutnick can fall off the face of the earth never to be seen or heard of again.

I just wanted to say what I loved most about post match with the great win against Geelong in Geelong (a very difficult challenge!) was the singing of the Club song of "It's a Grand Old Flag" with Mark "Choco" Williams involved.

Did anyone else see that? He really song our song with great gusto! It was absolutely fantastic! The players love Mark "Choco" Williams and having him at the Club has been fantastic for the players, coaches and supporters alike!

I am going to say that Mark "Choco" Williams is the recruit of the year for the Melbourne Demons! He may be an eccentric old fella but he loves football and is an incredible football person.

Let's hope the Demons can keep him at the Club for many more years!

In my defense....

The text was a bit blurry on my computer screen. Upon second glance, I can see that it has 'Range Rover' written on the bonnet.

The scale he drew it at made it look more like one of those shiffy Yugo cars they sold in the Soviet bloc.

Plus, what kind of dullard drives a canary yellow Range Rover? :D Or tries to hang donuts or do circle work in one?

Colin that is a babypoo yellow original Range Rover colour, early two door version. (Mine was Burgundy) Although gutless it was capable of circle work in snow (Mt Buller)or sloppy mud (MCG circa 1978) However I wouldn't be seen dead in a babypoo yellow one 🙂

I fully retract my comment now. And wonder if I need to check in at the optometrist. Or if Mark Knight is just a shiffy cartoonist.

The Hun are still complete muppets. 😆

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
