The last few weeks have made our slump much more palatable at least.

And we had it before the others .

Do you have a punt by any chance? You would of cleaned up the last two weeks.

I don't. Was never bitten by the bug because anytime i do bet i lose

Is it confirmed, we wont have crowds at Geelong next week?

If i were a cats supporter, these commentators would drive me mental.

Since I'm not....keep it up.

Just been out looking at wedding venues and had a sneaky look at the scores.

Wtf is happening today?

It’s basically all but confirmed lockdown will continue so I highly doubt it.

Catman would get a game in front of Dahlhouse

I think that’s what he wants so he can dive and duck for frees.

If it’s a grand final, someone should go the shirtfront straight down the middle. He deserves every bit of it

Viney straight in and bam done. I’m sick of that cheating ducker. Shouldn’t even be there today.

Cats as usual get umpiring charity. Block please

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the Saints keep this up and run over Geelong and we beat the Crows tomorrow, we lock away top of the ladder, yes?

No.

If no cases in regional VIC for 2 weeks, then they might let in 6,000 odd.

I so hope so.

Port are still a chance for first.

As bizarre as that seems.

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
