Maynard from the pies is on the way to the dees apparently- I have no other info and are not sure how we would make it happen but industry inside info is the source .

Mate of a mate mates .

Always with a grain of salt but there it is .

out of 10, how confident?

Possibly due to the difference in salaries between first round picks and later picks/rookies I guess?

I for some reason thought newly drafted players were on a fixed wage for their first two seasons. Regardless, if they are in such a position I would love to know hiw they were allowed to get there in the first place. Years ago when we put our hand up for extra financial assistance from the AFL we had to show them the books so to speak. I agree with BDA, this experiment hadn’t worked and neither will 19 teams, off to Tassie for them!

As Fat Tony pointed out, it's probably just a small part of a big picture it seems. Someone else mentioned they haven't managed their list sizes as well.

With Roosy rating him highly, and after watching 'Making Their Mark', I think Stewy Dew could be a great coach but just seems everything around him is managed so so badly.

I thought he said he wanted to stay at the Pies.

Maynard would be a great get. Perfect Hibbo replacement and allows us to move Rivers into the middle where I think he will eventually settle.
Can’t see how we make it happen unless Pies are desperado for cap space or more picks to get Daicos.

Maynard will be at Collingwood next season at the end of which he becomes a RFA. A deal may get done then, it certainly won’t this trade period. The talk of Maynard leaving this year was just old mate Kane Cornes stirring the pot. The [censored] known as Brad Hardie also suggested that Maynard will join the Dee’s during this trade period.

So you're saying it's a done deal?

Jaysus - cant we take Daniel MacPherson and pick 19 for a 4th rounder?

We could if we had the cap space to to accommodate the macpherson salary dump but not many teams could, particularly after the recent cut backs etc

May be an image of text that says "FOX St Kilda FC @stkildafc With Facebook down, how are we supposed to get unsolicited trade advice now? #AFLTrade St Kilda FC Oh wait, it's back. List Managers everywhere can breathe sigh of relief."

That's a pretty good one, St Kilda, but your list management has been pretty ordinary, so it might be a good idea to get some help from somewhere.

Why is everyone wanting to go to the blues?  Must be hitting cap and list number issues by now, surely!

Independent vaccine researchers would have taken a bit of a hit today too...

If its a salary dump which the pies need in order to move on plus a future 1st rounder and sweetener then it is possible. We seem to have space in the cap given the Cerra approach

Given some of their top 10 trade misses in recent years they probably shouldn't be joke too much about it ...

Yeah with you, i'd trust randoms on facebook a bit more than the Saints recruiting team over the stretch

Billings over Bont

McCartin over Trac/Brayshaw

the list just goes on.

Something doesn't add up

How were they potentially keen on Treloar last year, and now how a salary cap that's stuffed to the point they're forced to do salary dumps?

Its called FIFS...... Fiscally, Insolvent, Footballing, Suicide. AFLs Basket Case! Just close the joint down and admit Tasmania!😏

I had a different take of him watching 'Making Their Mark' - didn't come across as someone that has a really strong presence about him when talking with the players. Small sample though

Yeah fair enough, I just came away from it liking how he related to players and seemed a 'relationship' style coach.

Leon Cameron on the other hand....

Agree with that

According to the Hun Kade Chandler met with the Crows last week.

The 22-year-old Stengle parted ways with the Crows at the start of this season but has gone on to star for Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL. He kicked 44 goals in 19 matches including three goals in the Grand Final win over Glenelg last weekend.

As Stengle is a delisted free agent the Cats could pick him up without having to deal with the Crows, but would have to fight off reported interest from Melbourne, Collingwood and for a return to the Tigers. AFL.com.au

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.
