BDA 23,048 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 I don't think I've ever seen 2 meter Peter have a good game but he looks on today. Dogs looking ragged this quarter (other than the Bont) Quote
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Essendon doing well. Breaking even in clearances and putting the Dog’s poor defense under pressure. Shutting down Daniels. It’s the way to go. Umps will make sure Dogs won’t lose tho. Quote
Deeko2 865 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Although it may helps us sneak in a higher ladder position, I just can't cheer on the bombers over the dogs. Along with the cats they remain my most hated team. I'll stick to hoping the Cats keep losing and play the dogs in the first final and we get a gig vs the Power. 2 Quote
Dr. Gonzo 24,468 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Doggies have more than double the frees of their opponents again, colour me shocked 2 1 1 Quote

What's better, playing Port in qualifying final or in Prelim? We may better off playing Cats first week then hoping we get Port in the Prelims. Wouldn't want to see the Swans though. 1 Quote
titan_uranus 25,253 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 The Sydney win is enormous for us. We only need to win one more game for the season to ensure we finish top 4. I'd dearly love for it to be tomorrow, so that we don't have to take that pressure into next week vs Adelaide, a game with "danger" written all over it (albeit I reckon Adelaide spent their last emotional tickets on the Showdown last night). Not sure I can barrack for Essendon today. For one, a loss pretty much rules them out of finals, but a win puts them in pole position. For another, a loss to the Dogs opens the door to Port finishing top 2, which could mean our first final is on the road. 1 Quote
Demon Head 299 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Bombers are playing for their season. I’m not a big fan of theirs but will be interested to see how they deal with the situation compared to how we did in recent seasons when we had our chances. Quote

But I do recall we whipped em over there not too long ago. Edited August 8, 2021 by leave it to deever Quote

Bummers can start by winning today. i like your thinking but i'd reserve 9th for richmond i'd like to see richmond and the bummers and someone else, tie for 8th spot but both miss out by %, preferably by less than a kick's worth Quote

Yeah, but it would be against Port Adelaide, who we beat comfortably on the road less than a month ago. 1 Quote

Return to Glory 8,518 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Just saw a Bulldog player simply drop the ball. Play on. They really do get a great run at it. 1 Quote
Return to Glory 8,518 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Honestly, Bontenpelli kicked a ball across ground and Brian Taylor carried on like he had just painted the Sistine Chapel. 2 1 4 Quote
Chook 15,068 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 If Bontempelli got injured, I reckon the Dogs would win half the games they do. 1 Quote

Gawndy the Great 9,011 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Dogs look quite lazy today. Pressure on the ball carrier goes along way to quell their midfield dominance. Quote
FarNorthernD 5,863 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Excuse my ignorance but there is some crowd at the Dockers match. What’s happening at our game? I just assumed no crowd Quote
Nasher 33,681 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 What a goal by Parish. Looked like a shank off the boot. Quote

Dee Zephyr 19,311 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 I don’t often weigh in on the umps but seriously, how did Hunter not get pinged for ball just then? This is what drives fans mad. 1 Quote
