I’m happy to see Melks in ❤️?

Looks to me like Vanders or Jordon for Viney, Weideman on standby for TMac.

Harmes named on the field just to troll everyone who made the laughable suggestion that he’d be dropped.

Oh come on Nasher, it was hardly laughable to question whether he had a good game last week. Just because you disagree doesn't make it a ridiculous suggestion.

I'd go Jordon for Viney and vandenBerg the sub. But it wouldn't be ridiculous to try Melksham in Viney's role, with a greater portion of time spent in the forward line.

Weideman the late call up if TMac doesn't make it.

J Smith named just to frustrate me.

I’d bring in Vanders for Viney, let him play his 50th in front of a crowd.

Meanwhile West Coast has made a big statement by dropping Xavier O'Neill and putting Waterman, Hutchings, Rotham and West on their extended bench...

But seriously, if Vardy plays (and I think there's a fair chance he will, to provide ruck support for Naitanui who will blow up after 15 minutes of trying to follow Gawn and Jackson around the ground), I hope we're into him from the first bounce. For whatever reason I cannot and won't forget him mocking Gawn after Ryan took mark of the year on his head in 2019.

Also means no Barrass, Ryan or Shuey for West Coast this week.

I know it was always going to happen, but I love that they stuck with Bowser.  Looked completely at home in his debut last weekend, and adds a valuable touch of class.

Wasn't that long ago you thought Harmes might come out for Melksham or vandenBerg mate...

Nah, I did actually laugh when I saw those suggestions and I did think it was ridiculous. His game was imperfect, and he’s an imperfect player, but there was a massive overreaction on here to one or two poor bits of play. He was never going to be dropped.

So? I never said I get it right all the time, in fact I most certainly don’t. I just thought this one was a pretty easy situation to read.

Alright mate, bit 'sharp' lately compared to the chill Nash we've always known, hope things are ok.

Will be interesting to see what happens with TMAC. I don't think he would have gone if they were worried about him playing.

According to Ben Gibson, T Mac hasn’t taken part in full training just yet over there but they’re confident he’ll be right.

No Hibberd named. I'm telling you titan, it's going to happen ??

Can the Monday teams be fiddled around with or are Shuey and Barrass certain non inclusions?

Shuey usually kills us.

Not if they're not named in the emergencies.

no Hibberd is a little surprising... will be interesting to see how the defence structures up against a more agressive forward line than that which GCS served up last week.

Pretty sure you could arrange a training mishap   and then put up another emergency, probably be a fine but they would not be stopped

Unfortunately I think he's finished. His past couple of games he's looked cooked.

Then what? They have to arrange another training mishap to get them into the side.

not convinced that Bowey is the right replacement though. Could be interesting.

Seems Lockhart has missed his chance

They are definitely not playing

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
