What a prize flogger.

I am very close to poking my own eyeballs out - this Crows v Bombers is atrocious. Half-back to half-back practice match.

Awful game - how on earth did the Crows beat us and the Druggies push us for a while?

Had never realised what a [censored] bloke Devon Smith is. Strutting round like a tough guy, giving away frees and trying to wrestle blokes.

Serious small man syndrome

I listened to 7 in the first quarter - hadn't done that for a while and had forgotten how bad it was.  Now listening to 3AW, almost synchronised.

Whoever did the scheduling should be embarrassed. Worst Friday night game in a long time.

2 points and almost at half time is laughable.

Simple. It was an absolute statistical anomaly largely influenced by SA umpiring.

They were playing out of their skins something chronic.

Half time - off to sleep.

Bombers' complaining about the umpiring seems to have paid off well.  13-8 in a half.

FMD how did this contest between 12th and 15th get a run ahead of our game or Dogs v Swans or  Richmond v Collingwood or a replay of Love Actually?

Any match featuring the flag favourites doling out a football lesson will always have wide appeal

Janes Brayshaw is so bad

I don’t think there’s anybody worse. And the guy who does the pre -match over the top stuff (tonight it was Tippa) is hard to stomach

What a pathetic match. I wish that someone would crown Devon Smith. The most annoying piece of shizen on the footy field.

That pre-match voiceover guy does every single one of those ‘tributes’ as if it’s about Ted Whitten or Lou Richards or similar. It kinda loses it’s potency when it’s done ad nauseam.

Absolutely spot on WCW. I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed.

What has happened to the holding the ball rule? Perkins was just spun around twice in a tackle and doesn’t dispose of the footy and not pinned for holding it? Then he gets the free for high a few seconds later ?

Did I really see that? Bloke does a 720 in a tackle and gets the free

Possibly the worst decision of the year..... And it's a long list of disgraceful decisions.

Ump was 5 metres away with a clear view

It’s annoyed me for years. Ok for a finals match, or if someone has died, but a match like this one? Pfft.

It was paid for high contact!!!! Ridiculous.

I watching the replay of last nights game

I highly recommend it. ?

It’s so out of kilter. I tried to work out who it was.

I can’t remember his name. He’s been doing these presentations and tributes and stuff for years. It’s really not necessary. Fans will watch the match if they’re interested. They don’t need to be enticed with a deep and meaningful back story. It’s soooo Chanel seven.

Why wouldn’t they put Carlton V Geelong on Friday night as opposed to this garbage?

Surely a good team vs a mediocre team is better than a mediocre team vs a bottom team.

The AFLPA said no to Dogs V Sydney.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
