Thankfully, I got mine sorted.

I have a ticket now for the game.

For those who need assistance I suggest calling the MFC membership department on 1300 336 667.

Wouldn't have thought so Titan - the club have made noises about how much work is involved in making a change like this with all the functions etc. We saw this in round 1 when we were scheduled to play the Dockers at the G and Essendon made noises to relocate from Marvel to the G to get more fans to the game. Strange times though, anything is possible I guess.

I've been trying to get tickets for my Dad, son and myself using our membership barcodes  this morning with no luck. The page is saying that allocations for all of the seating categories are exhausted, and I've even tried to pay for the upgraded options to no avail. Is it possible that all tickets have actually been snapped up, or am I just useless at this ticket buying caper??

I got tickets for myself and my daughter, both members, and also 3 others on general admin about an hour ago. Make sure you're putting your membership numbers in at the beginning and then select general reserve - not best available and it might work?

Got tickets right behind the bench in the MCC. Tickets via ticketek, went on sale at 3pm.

Here’s hoping we give GWS a touch up!

Freo V Carlton highly likely at GHMBA on Saturday night.

Won't affect us.

well last week the g was capped at 25k and fully ticketted by ticketek. they said it was a sell-out, but attendance ended up over 20% down at 19.5k

so i doubt they have sold 25k tickets for this week, but they will probably say they have

gov has already announced no lifting of current restrictions, so the anticipated lifting to 85% capacity for this week is put off for another week

you could try ringing the club as they can often help in these situations.....worth a try at least

The problem is the cap of 25k is split amongst the different areas of the ground - so there would be 5-6k MCC, 5-6k AFL Members and 12-13k MFC Members/GA - if the MCC/AFL Members doesn't get sold out those tickets go unused.

Looking forward to a Melbourne home crowd again after the disgrace that was the Essendon crowd.

Taking my 6yo girls for their first game at the G - I think I’m more excited than them!
Been waiting months for a day game to take them to, now that we’re good it’s been mostly night games. Was meant to be Queens Birthday, maybe dodged a bullet there ?
Carn Dees, do it for the kids!

They were shocking

Have tried all games to book with my membership and can never find tickets available without having to pay extra to the point I chose kids tickets and the games I attended there were  empty seats and crowd capacity no we’re near the reduced COVID capacity!  Please explain

Ive already promised hot chips . They don’t drink Coke so that’s fine.
Will pack a bag full of snacks and activities in the event of boredom. They can finally use their flags for real instead of in front of the telly.
I just hope that a) we win and b)we make it through the whole game!

I couldn't get any tickets with membership 2 days ago. Was able to get 3 together tonight. I would say they have opened up unused AFL and general admission.

Ticketek is not for the faint hearted, finally get there in the end, but all season it’s been an exercise in frustration and time wasting. They wonder why crowds are down!

Which bay are you in?

I was booking tickets for 3 MCC members plus 2 guests for the Saturday game.

The new (again) system wanted  names and phone numbers for all applicants.

By the time I had found and entered the phone numbers my session my timed out out,

Crazy.

Just put your own name and number if it comes to it I'm sure you can pass on the details at a later time.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
