the Storm game from Thursday night is worth a watch. With their injuries they were playing their back up players in most of the key positions.

Hmmm...I'm not really into rugby league to be honest DJ but it could be a nice filler until the EFL championship playoff final tonight and the champions league final early tomorrow.

The Lions having a leisurely saunter in the Sun today. No preparation for their game against us. They'll get a rude awakening next week.

the last couple of weeks have not been good to us in the "other team stakes".

At least Port play Geelong next week which will help.

Beat Brisbane next week and .............

Half time and Collingwood hasn’t kicked a goal hahahahahahahaha

They'll get those 5 goals back in 10 minutes of good footy. At match sim training on Tuesday.

If Buckley had any sense of decency, he'd get them up to beat the Cats & their next opponent, to help drum up a crowd for Queen's birthday, and also to get his contract extended. Hopefully for another 10 years.

Every Collingwood supporter I speak to wants Buckley gone and fear a couple of meritorious wins will save him.

Yes our capitulation in the last round 2017 (in)famously helped with the extension to his contract. At least Lynden Dunn was pleased. Jeremy Howe still fantasises of being a high profile gun forward. A change of prez and coach may help...

I can’t believe this lockdown. I’ve been looking forward to going to North v StKilda for weeks!

Damn you covid, damn you!

Just turned on pies cats games.

Yikes.

Perfect conditions and 45 points at half time.

And pies goalless

And two jumpers that clash

Pies are horrible to watch but they are dogged. I predict the queens birthday clash will be a regulation 5 goal Dees win snorefest

It's a pity pies fans not allowed into the G today to watch their team stink the joint out.

Time for the Collingwood board to confirm Buckley’s contract extension to the end of 2023.

They should not hold back 2025

They were soooo good to watch! How they do it year in year out with the salary cap is unbelievable.

Yeah Grundy is gone for a long time by the looks

I doubt they will miss him has done very little the last two years, he has a very long contract to go at the pies.

This Geelong side have played some of the worst footy I’ve seen this year. How they are 3rd I’ll never know.

On the AFL app, marking contest against Stanley who was behind him trying to spoil Grundy. Stanley arm/elbow came down on Grundy shoulder near his neck and Grundy went straight to the turf in pain.

  • PREVIEW: North Melbourne

Can you believe it? After a long period of years over which Melbourne has dominated in matches against North Melbourne, the Demons are looking down the barrel at two defeats at the hands of the Kangaroos in the same season. And if that eventuates, it will come hot on the heels of an identical result against the Gold Coast Suns. How have the might fallen? There is a slight difference in that North Melbourne are not yet in the same place as Gold Coast. Like Melbourne, they are currently situated in the lower half of the ladder and though they did achieve a significant upset when the teams met earlier in the season, their subsequent form has been equally unimpressive and inconsistent.

  • REPORT: Adelaide

The atmosphere at the Melbourne Football Club at the beginning of the season was aspirational following an injury-plagued year in 2024. Coach Simon Goodwin had lofty expectations with the return of key players, the anticipated improvement from a maturing group with a few years of experience under their belts, and some exceptional young talent also joining the ranks. All of that went by the wayside as the team failed to click into action early on. It rallied briefly with a new strategy but has fallen again with five more  consecutive defeats.
