CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Western Bulldogs

Would suggest all of Fritsch, Jetta, Spargo and Melksham will all be discussed. Petty and Hunt possibly too, but they likely stay due to credits and need I reckon.

Hard to judge Weid's performance today. Horrible ball use forward of centre most of the time, none of Weid, TMac or Fritsch got much opportunity.

Might hold off until after the Casey game for ins.

in salem, the lesser known brown and daw( only if plays well against swans rerves),viney if fit. Out weid ,jetta and melksham. We have to get excited when Weid and B.Brown kick lots of goals against p.ss weak sides.

You might want to revist our lust because we dont have too many replacements.

Besides Jake Melksham will always get picked.

He was dropped last week. Didnt play in the seconds and hey presto hes back in.

I would drop Sam w.

Hunt yes.

Jetts  but i fear we lack depth.

If thats the case we need to find another star mid. Cant afford ro have Viney miss that many games.

It's a list of who I think will be discussed, I didn't suggest all would be dropped.

Salem above anyone, we missed him a lot today, hurt our transition forward, shows how important he is for us.  Jetta, is only up to a lockdown role, not suitable for what the team needs.  Melks started well, I assume he got a kick up the backside after being dropped, but then drop off and was almost unsighted on tv at least for the rest of the game.

Weid is a hard one, today our mid's did not find the space(workmate) for good delivery over the game.

The concern is the quick movement that we had to work against is the dog's game.  However plays next week this is a reminder to the expectation needed to stay in the team.

Spargo played his role as usual and was one of the few to hit a target, absolutely no chance he gets dropped.

Same goes for Petty and Hunt. If we had to reheat the ancient Jetta to find a 7th defender we aren't going to suddenly find 2 more in the next 6 days.

IN:  B. Brown, Salem, Sparrow
Out: Weid, Jetta, Melksham

Bit harsh on Weid who had some ok moments but he doesn't clunk marks and doesn't find any easy ball. Brown is a Docklands specialist.

Sparrow should've been picked over Melksham for weeks. We can't carry a taller forward line and a forward/midfielder like Melksham who doesn't tackle and doesn't crack in.

BROWN should never have been dropped in the first place, would he have missed that easy goal from 35 out that Weeds chocked on? Nar, Melksham should almost not be picked until he shows some intensity was woeful tonight!

Hard to say who goes. The forward half pressure was suspect all night. Pressure on the ball carrier wasn’t great either.

i felt the weight fell on too few shoulders and a few old habits crept back into our game.

If BBB kicks 3+ goals, I think he comes in otherwise Salem in for Jetta if fit.

JJ needs a rest. Viney or if not fit then sparrow

I think Brown has to come back in. The Weid to make way. He didn't take his chance.

Fritsch deserves to be dropped. North was the last good game he played. Not impressed with him at all this evening especially after that non-goal when he should have passed to Trac.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
