Agility is restricted?

Dead set laughable.

My G.d how much rubbish in about 2?paras of dribble.

Tslk about a doubting Thomas and negative Nellie.

All you have done is brought up doubts about Tommy snd his agility ( most are laughable) and questioned his magnificent pre season  effort great clubmanship and NEAR 2018 form in leading our attack the fourth best in the AFL to date.

Suggest you  go back and visit the replay and get some rose coloured glasses on!!

This forward line is still a work in progress but is gaining potential and needs BBB or Sam to get their form  going and clunk some marks.

zBack to the drawing board  Young blood !

makes gawny and guss' comments today even more confusing... maybe they were told to keep it under wraps mid sentence otherwise could make for a frosty 2nd meeting with kye

Got to be happy with the picks. Replacements for Tomlinson. Declase can play on the wing as well. Played on the wing in the Bulldogs practice game didn't do much but we did get belted so not easy to get a kick in that game.

On Gus & Gawny, they touched briefly on the mid season draft, and mentioned the 'Werribee player' that trained with the club (didn't name him but was obviously Declase), and reading between the lines, sounded like he didn't impress

I was hoping for the above but to get two between 192 - 195cm is great but have they pace and foot skills. How funny the Max let the cat out of the bag on their podcast.???

Welcome aboard Kye and Daniel.!!!!!

yep absolutely back what you're saying, i was listening on audio only so couldn't tell if maybe they were exaggerating their point to hide their slip or as i thought at the time and basically all night up until 10 minutes ago that he was completely woeful at football

edit: just watched it back gussy seemed absolutely clued in "nah nah nah, keep it under wraps" and then benny gibson tried to defuse it and gawny kinda chuckled at himself like ahhh whatve i done here

Welcome to the club boys.

On a side note, there has been reports that Mac Andrew, our NGA player in the draft this year could be bid on before pick 20 which would mean we would not be able to match the bid.

5 clubs picked up pure rucks with 2 more picking up Ruck/Fwds. Hopefully the majority impress which should prevent clubs from taking a punt on a ruck with a top 20 pick.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
