I'm looking forward to seeing them get flogged by 100+ points ?

The Pies may not be the finest chocolates going around at the moment but they almost always give a 100% red hot go every game, making them a hard team to beat.

I would not even give them a millimeter let alone an inch.  Replay that match ten times over they probably win eight of them and they're looking ok and one of the team's to beat.

I must admit their forward line looks flakey though and too reliant on DeGoey kicking 4 to 5 each week to get them over the line.

Hoewever as we know, footy is very fickle, occasionally decided by the mere direction a ball bounces (see Milne 1st drawn GF 2010).

While they still have Pendles & Sidebottom (when in form) running around, write off the Pies at your peril.

Check out the Dogs draw.  Made the finals last year, got gifted the #1 pick in the draft and then on top of it get the easiest draw you will ever see.

They lost their first final and ended in the 7-12 Fixturing bracket. Pies & Saints might be in for a long year after winning theirs!

The Children's Hospital have just announced they'll be holding an appeal for North Melbourne next easter.

I agree...I don’t think they are anywhere near a flag year but they always have a. “Red hot go”. I wonder however with the off season dramas which have been well documented...it might have an effect on the playing list. Buckley also seems “ different” & would not be at all surprised if things go pear shaped that he would just walk. They have a pretty easy run ahead ..West Coast at Optus the most challenging...however they could easily win 4 of those !

North really are that bad.  Dogs clearly aren't going at 100% and the way the goals are accelerating it is on target to be a 100+ margin.

Have only watched parts of the game. It is like watching the Dees a few years back.

I just thought the same thing. This is getting really ugly. Not great for David Noble. But nth have to let him develop the team his way. The thing is nth crowds are really going to drop off big time. As we know it isn't fun going week after week watching your team get thrashed.

Yep. The Bailey/Neeld years revisited

North are doing the bears a favour by bringing down footscray to their level.

There's a long hard road ahead for North. We've been through ourselves so i feel for them.

Yep and for North that road leads to Tassie. It always has, which is one of the reasons the AFL never set up an expansion team in Tassie. I think now the North supporters will embrace the move as a way to turn their club around.

They used to destroy us when we were a basket case.  Didnt they beat us by 130  something points around 2012?   Their supporters loved it, openly mocked us.

Hope they're even worse than what they have shown today the next decade.  Thought they will be in Tassie long before that could happen.

I'd love to watch 186, it is a match that I missed and never bothered to watch on replay.  I can imagine it being much like North v Doggies but without a scrap of resistance between the first and last bounce.

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
