The throwing is completely out of control. Umpires instructed to keep the game moving regardless of the rules it seems.

Brisbane have played right into Geelong's hands and let them take the speed out of the game.

Pathetic to date, but not helped by a few gift goals at the end of the Q.

Geez, Daniher was a good get for Brissy.........NOT

If Brisbane win this I may get a stitch from all the laughing that will occur

The Dad’s army “we’re in premiership window”‘  strategy unraveling before our very eyes.

Even better, in front of their own supporters.

I have a feeling Geelong will win as a result of a dodgy free kick, one of their players will flop. I can feel it, deep down, in my plums.

Maggots doing  their best - and probably succeeding to get the Cats over the line.

Even if it’s not holding the ball he didn’t dispose of it. The umpires flatly refuse to rule incorrect disposal. And it’s now cost Brisbane the game.

You got it right 'Ethan'...those crystal balls are working well tonight...

Most nuffies don’t understand holding the ball and don’t understand the concept that a player only needs to “attempt” to dispose of the ball of the player has NOT had prior opportunity.

However, that non-decision at the end was the wrong call and cost Brisbane the game.

That is a disgusting end to that match. Absolutely disgusting.

That missed free on Blicavs was a gutless mistake from the umpire. But Geelong’s last goal came from a Selwood duck drawing a free, then an iffy 50m penalty, then another iffy free against Ah Chee.

If you ever want to see a game destroyed and decided by umpiring, this was it.

What an absolute travesty.
Geelong have mastered the throw and the maggots ore too scared to call it down there.
Definitely robbed the Lions.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
