There’s the dees we know and .....

If that’s what we are going to dish up this season we are in for another quality season.

See what happens when we get some of our good players back but geez I ain’t holding my breath.

Nothing changed. Same old Melbourne. Still my heart beats true. Why?

Have to agree with this. Tomlinson should have been dropped (more than he was) last year. Jetta is now done and Tom McDonald is no longer good enough.

If we think Laurie may be the answer at HB, play him in the practice match instead of Jetta. If we want to see where Petty is at, play him ahead of Adam 'The Statue' Tomlinson today. Want to see if Mitch Brown is a better option than McDonald with the faster pace? Play him

Agreed back. Though most would have given Jetta another shot.

Haven't been able to watch any of this one.  Are there any positives at all coming out if this?  What's the score btw?

max gets man handled, held out of the contest and jumped all over. English falls over and gets a free every time

Need to protect MAxX

It’s 97-61

No real positives. Jackson looks ok. ANB been excellent. Not sure if you think that’s a positive tho.

Jones looks good.

Why are we not running guys like Petty and Laurie and giving game time to Tmac and Jones.

None.

Defensively solid. Lever and May looking in good nick.

Fritsch kicked straight.

None of the support act putting their hand up for round 1 selection

This is really a pissy poor effort today.

Really depressing stuff.

Sad thing is this is only pre season.

More bad than good as a big picture, but IMO the positives would be:

- May continuing his great form.
- Lever looking like he's about to peak.
- ANB some good moments as a linkup player and among the goals.
- Chandler managed to snag one. Chance for round 1 maybe.

We'd be 100 down if not for May and Lever

Wonder what Goodwin will say in post match presser

Absolute [censored] poor game plan

3 goals 3 ain't 'straight'

28-13. There’s no coming back from that.

And all the umps will get a 'well done' from HQ.

its not the loss, or the fact that we have a few missing.. its the way we lost. Appalling footy and does nothing, absolutely nothing to suggest we are going to do what Simon Goodwin has come out and said today.

R1 looms large.

better than 1 goal 5.

i'm doing my best to look for positives here WWSW

Time to take Trac Lever and Gawn off the field

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
