Wasn't told much about it as a concept. So not sure if it's just a sometime thing or a more settled role, but given he was our number 1 for tackles inside 50 last year (and he got his first goal that way in the VFL practice match too!) I would be VERY surprised if it was a full time role.

Just happy they are trying things a bit outside the box.   A few of Kossies runs through the backline and midfield were some of his most scintillating pieces of play last year.  You  get the sense he is going to be much more valuable than a forward pocket in the long run.  With his skillset he may well end up the Liam Ryan type, creating nightmares for opposition up and down the ground.  Only his 2nd year, we got a ripper here i reckon!

Who’s going to use injures as an excuse if we get done considering Freo are missing their forward fire power in Walters and Lobbe as well as a few other best 22 players?

Lol probably me. I’ve drunkenly thrown my scarf in a bin Rd 1 before so I’ll need something to convince there is some light in some tunnel somewhere so I don’t chuck another scarf.

I’m confident we will beat Freo because Walters is out and Taberner has been poor in the preseason games. I don’t know who will score for them. Defences will be on top but I think in Fritsch, Petracca and Max (reckon he’ll clunk a few inside 50 and convert) we will score 2-3 more goals than them.

I reckon they will play Fyfe fwd 70% and leave the midfield to the young lads.

hopefully May can handle Fyfe. We cant let him have a clear run and jump at the ball

Ditto.    But I can’t get down, so it’s down to the local and I hope some other poor sod will be watching. So we can cheer or cry foul.

Go you mighty Demons !!

If you lose x% of your best 22, by definition you're going to underperform, and that's true even if you win.

Whether that underperforming team will be enough, time will tell.

Burgess was on Gus and Gawn podcast, didn't talk much injury news but Benny Gibson mentioned a few

Salem was precautionarily left out of the Box Hill game but expected to be available

Hibbard, Kozzie and Gus as we know all played and should be available

But by the sounds of it Melksham's not ruled out yet but very unlikely, Viney we already knew

And Joel Smith just about snapped his finger off

Awesome, cheers.  Likely to have Salem, Gus, Kozzie and Hibbo out there.  No excuses!

Not thrilled... lovely day to sit in the sunshine and it's allocated level 1 undercover as best available in the AFL reserve.

My usual seating for a game like this is half a stand to myself on level 3.

Will I bother going... not sure

You can bet your last $ Bing that if we lose the media and us long suffering supporters will get stuck into the players and Goody. Then if we win the media will say we beat a depleted team. We do not win any which way which is the norm with us until we get some consistent performances in.

Lobb is a dud and we will have bigger outs than them.

Still no excuses of course.

Got my tickets!

Did you get a follow up SMS from ticketek after you booked it?

I'm still waiting for mine but I'm assuming you can access the ticket via email.

I didn’t receive an sms at first but contacted Ticketek via Twitter and they reissued the tickets and I got the sms then (they were quite quick actually). I didn’t see the barcode to scan on the confirmation email so I would be wary of assuming you can access the ground via the ‘confirmation’ email.

the email contains individual links for each ticket beneath the "important ticket delivery information" section close to the bottom of the email. Click the link and it takes you to the ticket.

Got tix, but my wife and I are on opposite wings. Couldn't work out how to get two at a time (drop down only gave 1 as an option - 1 per barcode, even though we had both ready to go). So that's pretty crap. I mean, very glad to be going, but not a great user exp. which seems typical of MFC on their platforms. Or I could have missed something, I suppose...

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

    TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
