There can't possibly be anyone still left on the forum that has built up their hopes and will be genuinely crushed if Freo lose this? Masochistic if you ask me.

I'd have rather they were belted than be this close.

Dockers are also being absolutely belted around the ball and the umps give them absolutely nothing. As always umps giving Bulldogs a ride. As they have for 30+ years for some bizarre reason.

How in the actual f is that not holding the ball

Dogs have been in lockdown mode all game.

I suppose even a close neutral game without anything riding on it during the year still gets the heart racing. I'm just checking scores,  no way am I putting heart through another roller coaster like 2017.

These short quarters kill the side that are behind. Not much hope. Blink twice and the game is over.

[censored] HUNTER. GET [censored].

I’m out. 2020 can eat a bag.

This is just like watching us play for real. Slow train wreck. Umpires missing obvious calls. Not taking chances.

See you all next season

Teams are so regimented they keep kicking backwards and sideways even when behind. Coaches have killed the game.

Thank you linesman thank you ball boys

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
