Probably the best lot of changes we have made this year, however Smith should not be in the squad, and he should be in the forward line if selected. Unfortunately Goodwin has made these changes too late in the year when he really needed to make them earlier in the year, his biggest fault is that he is too slow to make change. It gives me relief to see Jones, Spargo, Wagner and Omac out of the side,  4 massive spuds [I still love Jones though]

The rumour is 9 changes. No idea if true. But when was the last time any team, let alone us, made 9 changes?

We know Jones, Harmes and Brayshaw are out. OMac is surely another. Another five from there is insane to think about: would surely be looking at players like Melksham, Fritsch, Spargo and OMac.

I'd be surprised to see 9 changes, but if we do, let's hope the surprises are more in relation to the players coming in than the players going out.

I know he's been roundly lambasted for the Swans game but I'm not sure even OMac can be given the arze twice from the one match

Finally get to see Baker and Bedford.

Bennell is really on the outer.

Finally we may not have a slow plodder on the wing for once!! Ain't it amazing to see Goodwin elect genuine wingers to play on the wing

Bedford and Kozzie back in the same team, been waiting a while for this.

We bought in some speed and fresh young legs.  Dont know if we will win but I cant complain about the changes (though Melksham is very lucky still).

Not a fan of the Preuss inclusion, but... I'd rather look at what I think are the positives.

Baker, Bedford and Hunt will bring some much needed pace to the side.  While they aren't big possession winners, they bring that dash and excitement we need.  Same goes for the inclusion of Pickett.  Some real pace, dash and hopefully pressure.

Hibberd back is really handy too.

Only disappointing aspect is no Lockhart - did he pee in Goody's tea or something?

Clearly Max is going to play a lot of the game up forward.

7 changes normally rings alarm bells but off a 4 day break I reckon it’s not a bad call.

Not sure the Gawn-Preuss combo is a good idea. We tried that a few times in 2019, and it didn’t work outside of one quarter against Sydney.

I think Bennell’s career is on thin ice. You can make all the excuses you want, but the fact he’s not one of the 7 ins and not even an emergency speaks volumes. Hope he gets 1 more year, but I am expecting that he won’t.

Glad OMac is out. I’m sure he’s a nice guy and tries his best out there, but his performance against Sydney was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. Maybe the worst since Gillies against Essendon in 2013. Never again please.

I remember looking at our team sheet at the start of the year and thinking 'this is awesome'.

Now I just see the 7 or 8 genuinely C grade players that could cost us another game.

At least we're erring on the side of pace.  None of the outs were playing well either.

Wasn't it mentioned on here that Bennell was being managed and would be back for the Freo game?

Yep, that was me. Came (indirectly) via Burgo a few weeks back. Either they're not happy with his form, his fitness progression or just got it wrong.
