I've got one. The Melbourne Fuchsias

Melbourne Pansies more like it.

Watch the Swans lock it down going against the wind. Goodwin is a clueless hack.

in fact, watch them out score us

Can't even laugh

We just stink

At least we won the preseason

Smith is such an unclean player.

Such a sad first half.

Won the toss and thought the wind will win it for us.

Too many passengers.

No talk or connection, playing for themselves.

Why do we let a team get a run of goals?

Cmon dees, bring the skills.

This is 100% on the players.

I'd say it mostly is, but when Sydney were leaving an extra behind the ball, why didn't we man that up?  Why did we allow that to happen?  We should have done more their from a tactics point of view.

The sad part is the footy world  expects this from the MFC ... Simply can’t be trusted and serious leadership, culture & coaching .. just can’t see them doing a Cats comeback

I've been watching. Every game.

You would know that if you showed up after a win. But you don't.

Lever's 6th in the Demonland POTY votes by the way, so I'm clearly not the only one.

And Wagner played well last week. Deserved his game this week.

No he didn’t. In the first half he was useless. He takes too long to make a decision and then it’s too late! He gets tackled, etc

Can rightly have a go at the coach all we want, but even if it was a 3 on 2 entry into our forward fifty and it was not in mays, brayshaw, melksham or salem's hands i dont trust the player to make the right decision or be able to execute.

Our players simply aren't that good. Part of being good is being consistent and after a point it cant be coached to improve. This is our brand.

As usual if don’t dominate the midfield everything else falls apart!

That was our best use of half back then.  We actually hit three targets in a row.

And great finish from ANB.

As I’ve said. Worst. Game. Plan. Ever.
Such a high risk low reward plan.

Clarry wasnt the worst in that 1st half.  Not great.  Same with Viney.   Along with May, can they bullock and drag this lot out of the mud pit to a narrow win?

They made moves. Tomlinson back. Smith forward. I’m shook.

Jones on bench with thigh strapped - maybe we're a chance?

What the [censored] was Oliver doing then?

Jesus.  Some of the decisions tonight have been awful.

Jones off injured.  We were playing a man down with him on anyway so no loss there.

Excellent Langdon

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
