Dimma: 'People should really think about what they say in the media'

Also Dimma: 'David Schwarz is a little cry baby'

Hardwick has become my least favourite coach bringing what those dirty flogs did in the 2000 grand final into this.

Nail on head. I have no doubt Lynch has been following the directions of his sniping coach.

Aarts has come into the side recently and is a right nasty little prik. Hardwick again I’d suggest.

On Lynch, he is pretty much hated on the Gold Coast where as club captain and knowing he was off to Tigerland the following season, he apparently feigned injuries to miss games and when he did play, just didn’t put in. His gutlessness now proven by his latest pizz poor attempts at being tough.

Can’t wait for the next Lions v Tigers game. Lynch will probably strain a hammy at training the week before.

Actual Dimwit quote: “Because I guarantee you a few players out there making comment, mainly David Schwarz, I played a Grand Final (in 2000) against that bloke and within 20 minutes of the game he was crying, so (he should) have a look at himself at some stage.”

I have always hated every one of the thugs from that 2000 team of scum:  Wallis, Hardwick, Long to name a few.   Indeed, it has carried over to the point where I abhor Richmond more than any other team in the AFL and I am hoping like hell there's an Adelaide oval elimination final coming up.  If I was Goodwin, I'd get the Ox to address the boys during the week.

Hardwick - what a scumbag.  Wallis fractured Brad Green's larynx and sent him to hospital and Long nearly paralysed Troy Simmonds and that scumbag is lauding this as some kind of great example!

Lynch is a sniper and a sook - very hateable.

Exactly. Maybe someone in the media should remind Hardwick of that incident and why Schwarz was so upset ("crying")

Good clip - Schwarta took on 3 of them and then slammed the great Bomber hero Jimmy into the turf.  Looked like he knew how to take care of himself.

didn't see the hero Dimma getting involved in that clip. OX wasn't crying he was flying the flag after one of the guys guys was laid flat in a cheap shot.

If Dimma think Ox is such a baby I would love to see him step in the ring with him!

1963, Ron Barassi on Roger Dean. Four weeks.

By today's standards, Ron may have escaped any penalty. And Roger might have got a fine for staging!

.and we may have won the 1963 flag as well.

Lynch knows he's not going to get suspended, and the worst that could happen is he gives away a free kick and a few bucks. The upside is if the defender retaliates he's bound to win the free kick and an easy shot on goal. I'd actually be surprised if he's not simply following coaches instructions with this rubbish.

You of course mean thug Hardwick.

Damn. I'd forgotten how sick that bump was. I'm not normally a big lover of "flying the flag" but I love seeing the Ox in that instance. How about the body slam on Hird.

Even though that was a hundred years ago now, it's hard to not still hate that f-ing club.

...and who know just what drugs they (or at least some of them) may have been on that day?

Indeed. Good get, dice. Looked like something oldtimers might have seen at Festival Hall wrestling, with Jack Little spruiking “Come on down, watch 5 on 5 - see who hits the mat!” Except they were fair dinkum.

What did Long cop for the hit? Would either be a $1000 fine or 8 weeks in today’s game.

Micheal Long? Essendon? Should've stopped at the $1000 fine. Hell, Simmonds would've been made to apologise to Long in the current climate.

Ever since that Grand Final Essendon displaced went to the top my most disliked sides and have remained there ever since.

Wallis' punch to Brad Greens throat was disgraceful. Essendons demise at the hands of Hird proves there is a god.

Definately invite the Ox to play that clip to the boys next time we play either Essendon or the Toiges.

My recollection was that when big man Wallis punched 18yr old Brad Green it was Hardwick that was also holding Green too

Pretty ****house comments by dimma but clearly a deflecting tactic away from that mercenary lynch now also a grub player

the hit by long looked even more terrible than I remember it

3 of the four weeks served in preseason ... i forgot that - what a [censored] joke... even back then

I believe you are correct. Even worse!

Lynch is a [censored] and Hardwick is a sniper. Neither should be looked up to. The AFL should give them both a whack but they won’t because they’re weak.

Next time we play them would love to see May give Lynch one of his trademark bumps and a few Richmond fans spit on their coach and players as they leave the ground... again.

Dimma is a goose.  He is an angry little twerp.  He has needed some pretty high quality people around him to keep him in check, but you can’t hide your basic nature for ever.

Suggesting you like your key forward to ‘push the line’ is stupid.  Have you ever seen a team throw their arms in the air for frees as badly as the Tigers forward line?  (Except Geelong) . Riewoldt looks like he’s going to cry every time he misses out on a free.  This now invites defences to really go after these nufties.  Hard-wit is also essentially baiting the umpires.

Should be some defences that take the invitation to play these fecal stains at their own game....

Check this out, Hardwick’s response to criticism of tom lynch by David Schwarz

I’ve held Hardwick in some esteem for his efforts with the tigers, but these remarks display, at the end of the day, a fragile ego and a nasty streak.
Smugly sniggering at a football player showing emotion. Great message for the kids d***head.

Didn’t realise there was already a thread on this. You guys are all over it!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
