Defenders were fantastic as a unit and I couldn't separate any of them to get them in the votes

6 - GAWN

5 - PETRACCA

4 - OLIVER

3 - VINEY

2 - LANGDON

1 - WEIDEMAN

I would vote 7 for Hawthorn kicking it to Max all day and padding his stats.

6. Gawn

5. by a Bee's willy for Trac, best ever game

4. Viney, heart and soul, belted the hawks into submission when the game was in dispute.

3. Oliver better in 2nd half, felt like decision making was laser today.

2. May IS becoming a/the leader of the back 6.

1. Salem have been really down on him but last two games a huge change.  Today was so good.

Stiff: Weid, Langdon, Gus (much much better), Omac

Also VDB really needs to fix his disposal, running pretty low on DE, great heart though.

I only saw the second half so I might well have miss some things:

6 Petracca

5 Gawn

4 Viney

3 Oliver

2 Weid

1 Langdon

6.  Tracc

6.  Maxy

4.  Clarry

3.  Viney

I can’t go past Gawn as BOG: a very exciting game and a joy to watch!

1. Weideman (not so much for the goals, as nice as they were to see, but for being a constant threat in the forward line)

Others in contention for votes included Langdon and Fritsch

Can't believe Bailey Fritsch hasn't received any votes for the year yet. Sure his name wasn't accidentally left out?

Probably get more votes if Fritters had kicked straight. I think he is 6-11 for the year and about 3-8 from set shots.  Lots to like about him with his marking and skills but needs to work on the conversion accuracy.

He’s first goal on the weekend was a beauty.  The second was a great mark inside the 10m square.

Fritsh has kicked 8 goals, 10 behinds.

7 of those behinds came in the first three matches, so maybe the yips are gone.

I agree with these votes

6  Petracca    Brownlow boy

5  Gawn    Top ten Brownlow marked well down back

4  Viney  hard all day

3. Oliver  kicked more often

2. Weid Best I have seen him play for some time. And about time.

1. Langdon.  Great running game. A very good pickup. Improves the side

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
