After Carey's comments and now what appears may be the end of Thompsons year i think its safe to say Laidley will be lucky to see the season out as head coach.

With Lenny Hayes getting reported and possibly joining an extremely long list of best 22 players unavailable for the Saints in round 1 i expect us to crush them.

More than likely they will be without, Hudghton, L.Fisher, Maguire (50-50), Gardiner, Hayes, Riewoldt, Kosi (50-50) and Hamill. All of them would be in their best 22 and contains 5 of their starting spine. Bring on round 1, we are about to hand out a spanking

Basically get rid of Laidley.

Carey's not the only one with that view. There are a few northerners who are not happy with the way their side dies in the backside after holding a 37 point lead halfway through the third quarter and with Laidley's casual response to it all.

Meanwhile, it seems Hayes is in trouble. He had a 50m penalty awarded against him in the incident, it was a high contact tackle and he has form.

Are you certain all those guys aren't playing? I was under the impression that Riewoldt was going to be ok for round 1. And what's wrong with Gardiner? Plus the article states that Kosi got through the game ok and Maguire did too. I know you said 50-50 for those two, but I'm sure they'll play. Hayes is not suspended as yet and I heard on SEN that it wasn't much and he'll probably get off with a reprimand.

And let's not get too cocky after last year's Carlton debacle!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely terrible news for Thompson and the Kangaroos!

It makes you realise how quickly your season can come unstuck.

We just have one more practice game to get through, and I hope that we can make it out of Geelong unhurt and unreported.

You're right, we shouldn't count our chickens before they're hatched because according to the papers, a few of those blokes will be available for round 1 - including Riewoldt and Koschitzke.

Irrespective, we have to beat whoever they put out there and we have a habit of fluffing the ones where the opportunity appears to be the greatest. AS Pringle pointed out - we lost to Carlton twice last year.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
