Brownlow Bruce, i dont see how you could possibly have our midfield as high as the 2nd best in the league. Potentially in a couple of years maybe but definitely not yet. We would be at 5-6 on par with Sydney. WestCoast, Adelaide, St.Kilda and Freo all better than ours right now.

After Carey's comments and now what appears may be the end of Thompsons year i think its safe to say Laidley will be lucky to see the season out as head coach. With Lenny Hayes getting reported and possibly joining an extremely long list of best 22 players unavailable for the Saints in round 1 i expect us to crush them. More than likely they will be without, Hudghton, L.Fisher, Maguire (50-50), Gardiner, Hayes, Riewoldt, Kosi (50-50) and Hamill. All of them would be in their best 22 and contains 5 of their starting spine. Bring on round 1, we are about to hand out a spanking

Surely to go down on the official membership tally the MFC would have to get more than $40. Its an absolute disgrace how many MCC members we have that constantly fail to get a MFC membership. That is the reason we had to sell a home game to Bris year in year out. We should be getting 30,000+ members every year and be regarded up there with the heavyweights and not languishing behind with the Kangaroos struggling to keep up with the rest of the competition.

We are going to get killed if we are to continue playing this shite football for the rest of the season. Whilst it is good to experiment in the pre season our club still needs to get the players well versed on our game plan and how we want to play for the upcoming season. Looking at the first 2 games our over use of the handball if continued is going to make it a very frustrating season ahead for all our forwards, particularly Neita. WestCoast used the tactic very well last season against the Crows who constantly flooded back to great effect but i wouldn't be counting on that style of game plan to be successful week in week out
