This is so bizarre.

Yep.
it is just wrong

I am in Bangkok right now. It is almost silent

The Thai Government only got heavy yesterday, although it has been building up

All sports Stadiums closed over here

no exceptions

This is awesome.  Footy is back.

No crowds?  Tough luck.    There will be millions watching at home anyway.

Lets get this party started.

I wouldn't be upset if Carlton get humped tonight. I don't think their fan base have been completely broken yet.

I think you might only need to wait another 10 minutes,

no score ,    no hope !!

In the time of great uncertainty, it nice to see that some things never change.

bugger they got one

Carlton still suck. Richmond still excellent. We are having a social distancing party and watching with friends over video chat.

Don't they do that clash jumper thing any more?

Was thinking the same. How can they both be playing in dark jumpers with white numbers on the back?

This is just like watching my old club. UHSOB  amos reserves,  no one watching apart from club members,

no one else at the ground  Go Dees

Those of us old enough to have seen carlscum during the 70’s 80’s and 90’s will never forget how evil they were.

Surely these [censored] bags lose the opening game of the season?

Every year I stop watching at quarter time because it just feels like an AFL team beating up on a VFL team in the preseason.

Big difference between the 2. That 50 meter penalty that lambert got really sucked. He should of been penalised.

Early call, but the Baggers remind me a little bit (actually a lot) of our Neeld era club. Lots of very ordinary players, dodgy recruiting and “guns” who seem to be getting no better (Dow?). It seems they have put 30-50 games into a very ordinary list, and topped up the guns with very ordinary second tier players. Cripps a star, but apart from Walsh, no one else looking like it. Cheap shot by McGovern, then fell over like a pack of spuds. Ordinary! May they continue to suffer!!!!

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
