Talk about a disconnect eg Roffey and the board in an another building .. may be 1% but they all count … this no home base and under the same roof.. I wet to a work seminar at a function room at Carlton .. you walk in and see their premiership cups and watch the team train … all under 1 roof! This everlasting saga, honestly find a solution & get out of the 50 min drive to Casey

You saw for yourself, it is a nice set up at Parc de Princes. I look my son there for an open training session the Saturday before last, eating almond croissants, sipping on a capuccino, the sunshine rays reflecting from 17 Premiership cups in the foyer ... from the window you can watch the players training in the gym and on the oval doing drills ... 💙😁

Seriously, this is something the Dees should aspire to, a real home where all parts of the club can live under one roof and fans can visit to help deepen the connection with their club.

Antiques Roadshow?

8 of them in between the Dees penultimate Premiership and 2021 mind you 😉

just looking at some university club football facilities and think the club should definitely include an indoor trading ground, and the screen graphics above the player lockers

All bought and paid for.

we could put our facility in a tunnel somewhere between Cheltenham and Box Hill - no apparent shortage of funding there

Talk about money being burnt, meanwhile the airport link is nowhere to be seen. A project that is 100 times more necessary and 100 times cheaper than the stupid SRL.

We have also paid for Scotland to host the commonwealth games add that to the list.

Here's an idea.

If there is no public funding just sell the naming rights to a big corporation.

The "Red Bull Ron Barrasi High Performance Centre". 😄

And the training ovals can also have some naming rights sold, the Norm Smith Oval by Zurich.

If you are talking about the salary cap, that was first introduced in 1987.

17 Carlton Premiership trophies:

1906, 1907, 1908, 1914, 1915, 1938, 1945, 1947, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1987, 1995.

They are on display in the foyer of the club at Princes Park. Also has some displays of club history, old guernseys from different eras etc. There is a cafe there as well (1864 Cafe). It is quite well done 👌

...and Hawthorn have been fundraising for this for the past couple of years.

What have we been doing in preparation?

Nothing.

Imagine how much would have been contributed by our members post Premiership toward a future base fund.

In typical Melbourne style they will hit up the same supporters they always do and tell them, as they always do, that they will be recognized and be part of a group that will have their name on a plaque in the entrance hall. There are only so many times you can go to the well before it dries up.

We have been talking about a training facility for as long as I can remember and will be in another 10 years. Let's just accept the facts that it will never happen. We have had many different Boards; they have all promised the same thing and it's all pie in the sky [censored].

I've heard some suggestions from time to time that sounded ok, but they've never come to anything.

We've blown it, we needed to get in and grab some cash form the State Government, but surprise, surprise, there isn't any left and won't be for at least another 20 years.

Do they have a large paper bag in the trophy cabinet?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
