Sam Murray

"MELBOURNE has locked in a meeting with delisted Magpie Sam Murray next week as plans for its list transformation continue. The Demons have long been among the keenest parties in Murray since Collingwood informed him he wouldn't score a contract for 2020."

He is from up this way in Albury/Wodonga and I know some of his knockabout mates..

All I will say is stay absolutely clear from this muppet.

Seems their no [censored] rule might have some flexibility

Let’s make it happen. Although his kicking may be questionable at times, this bloke is a good one on one defender, he has pace to burn and he would give us run out of defensive 50 that we sadly lack. He costs us nothing, is super fit and desperate to prove people wrong.

The poor lad should have a meeting with an orthodontist first. He has a smile like a row of condemned houses.

About time our club had a player that opposition fear, even if it was just their breath.

He's showing all the signs of someone that is desperate for a AFL lifeline and to repay the faith to whoever picks him up.

My only issue is that there will be a sense of complacent once he settles and the urge of falling back into that trap again will be quite high.

I'm concerned about the effect on our players. This could end up a pyorrhic victory.

That made me lol. Thanks

Hey, Rab, some of us lower classes have bad teeth, some of it is in our DNA. I was a regular dentist visitor in Germany when I was five, bin a regular customer ever since. I wouldn't hold a man's molar superstructure against him...

Todd Viney was no dental beauty queen either, just for the record.

I come in peace Dieter. It's just a little observational humour. My background is no less humble I can assure you.

If he is so good, why are Collingwood letting him go?

they don't like him anymore, he wouldn't share his drugs around.

Good pace. Questionable kicking. Not overly solid. Character is in doubt.  I think there are much better options.  Why recruit a bloke with suspect skills when that is a major problem already? Doesn’t make any sense.

Yours in Molar rack and ruin...Apologies if I sounded stern and moralistic...

we never take you seriously when you get all moral, dieter :)

Might be a good cheap pickup. Still young and does have some very good pace. I would be interested to know what would happen if he does fall back into bad habits.

They have a plethora of players capable of playing the small running defender role. Quaynor, Murphy, Noble all ahead of him now. We do not.

I don't think he will be complacent, given this is probably his last chance at an AFL career, but then again who really knows these guys.

Have you all noticed that he is a smaller replacement for you know who? Similar attributes with a smaller build.

Answer: he is off the list.

All my Colllingwood mates saying good run and dash, bad ball user..... not sure we need more of this.

Certainly don't.  Taylor will be allover this one i assume.

IF we are getting Young i really don't see the need other than depth.

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.
