Thanks Daz. This being televised anywhere?

Taj is number 14.

I watched the first half. Basically think a low possession game from Brayshaw and that is what it is. Playing the defensive wing - running all day. Uses it well when he gets it, dropping back to fill space and go after other people’s man when they lose them. It won’t be a high stats game, but I think our coaching team would be happy with how he is playing.

I think that's a pretty good summary - from what I've seen he has good balance and awareness, and can dispose efficiently when he gets it - overall I think he looks a good prospect for wing or HBF

Looks so much like his old man!

Good to see he’s performing well. He’s come along way with his develop and I expect us to pick him up with a late pick.

Ridiculously eerie..

Thought I was looking at Shane Woewodin 1997.

Just needs a touch of peroxide in the hair and it’s like watching Shane the year he won the 2000 Brownlow Medal.

I was thinking the same. Just needs the tips!

Good to see him get some recognition for his performance. Those stats are pretty good for a 4 x 25 quarters game with no time on and 5 players rotating off the bench. Given that there were a number of highly regarded prospects from each state on the ground. I’m biased obviously but he’s going to the right club where he can be developed without the urgency that we used to apply for every recruit who walked onto the scene.

Yeah spot on.

I didn't watch the game but his write up sounds impressive.

How unbelievable would it be to get a LJ#2 in 2-3 years.  One can dream.

I was thinking of Jacko but how exciting would a clone of Jurrah be in this playing group?

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
