15 inside 50s in a row to Saints now when the game is on the line. That’s pathetic effort from us. Our defensive structures and transition is diabolical.

I’m convinced now that Goodwin needs to go. He’s been outcoached yet again with Saints able to isolate players etc. shocking coaching effort and the take of his coaching career thus far.

Goodwin said we have a lot to play for. He is about as useful as Frost kicking a football.

There's a lot to play for every game (for good footy clubs).

We're 17th.

Imagine losing to this spud of a club twice in two years.

Imagine beating them only 3 times in 13 [censored] years.

14 inside 50s in a row to the Saints.

[censored]. Pathetic.

How about twice in 14 games!!!

Looking forward to the post game thread where apologists will make excuse and tell us everything will be great next season.

Do umpires pay throws any more? I know we're terrible but .... preseason has to focus on fitness, skills and defense....again. this season needs to hurt.

Goodwin cannot make a pathetic little speech after the game tonight. He needs to go. Last year Brisbane were down the ladder but you could see them building. Our team is not building. They’re demolishing any hope.

If you polled DL as to who is our best kick I am confident most would pick Salem. You wouldn’t, that’s fine.

BTW who do you think is a better kick than Salem?

As I said.
if you think dinky 20m passes are Gold.
Good for you.
That last 15m lob was a ripper eh.

Their tackling has killed us. Just a rubbish side we are.

80 something points conceded on turn over.

another last qtr fade out. Just [censored] off

What planet are you on? We are down by 13, now 19 points and they're peppering the 50m arc

I was talking about the umps finding a non existent free to them when it should have been paid to us.

If only

But doubt the budget handles a 4 year payout

nah... it's only three more and the alternative is a massive revenue loss

Wow we are lazy. I'd drop 10 of them. Don't care who comes up from Casey

I think this is the tipping point now.

They will start to come after him now.

Hahahahahaha

ANB's handball sums up our season perfectly!

Notice how they are always absent on the actual game day thread.

I dare anyone with any shred of integrity to defend this ****.

Its not good enough.

This ain’t Goodwins fault. This is on the players

It’s both. Goodwin’s game plan isn’t good enough. His match ups don’t work and he doesn’t make changes. We are defensively poor and have been all year. That is on him.

Our players lack run and skills. That’s on them. But we have been so badly outcoached this year and that is on Goodwin.

No good Dees

Our poor skills killed us. Nothing else.

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
