It's so sad what has happened to our forward structures.... Clearly we are 6 months behind the rest of the comp when it comes to how to set up and move the ball with the new rules.

May Lever, Hore and Hibberd have been our best players.

Midfield is by far the laziest in the competition.

Outside of the Neeld era this is the worst coached MFC team I've ever seen.

Rubbish. Bailey was an awful coach. 1999, 2001 and 2003 were much worse than 2019.

But yes Goodwin has been found out. Most coaches don't recover from this degradation, not this early in their careers.

The problem is our forward line have no confidence.

Just look at De Goey and Stephenson , and then look at Petracca and TMac.

Petracca is full of brashness off the field but has none on it.

5 goals in three quarters? FMD

Viney is a shadow of his former self. Take the captaincy off him and make him become a competent footballer before making him lead.

anyone who thinks this list is not the problem is delusional. More spuds than a Thorpedale Sunday market....

We would have more chance of building  our HQ there DP.  Very fitting!

We could be bottom of the ladder this time next week

I was thinking the same thing after the Blues win. I can't even say with any confidence that we will win when we play them.

The problem is our disposal efficiency is 64%

The worst thing about it is that Goody doesn't even know that he's been found out. So he's ignorantly plodding along, blaming everything on injuries (only partly responsible), connection etc, so he doesn't work on his gameplan, or bring someone in with some footy IQ.

Trac has been good when given a go in the midfield.

Why not point the finger at our rabble of a captain in Jack Viney who has touched it 11 times.

Trac 2 solid qrts ....Poor Viney has gone bacwards too.

Same issues ever week. Shocking F50 entries. Forward entries aren’t even to a 50/50. Would hate to be a forward for Melbourne.

If Goodwin does his pathetic little speech after the game and sends it out I’ll throw up. Time to put his coaching career under the spotlight. We can’t waste all this talent any longer.

Can we just win this last quarter.

Thats why Weideman needs to play out the year in the seniors.

There is potential and shows glimpses.

I’ve said it before and will say it again. Goodwin can’t coach. Been told by someone in the afl that he is still struggling not having the runner out there like last year and can’t adapt to it. Met with afl just a few weeks to discuss it...

Thats about all I can muster.

Rather go and enjoy the rest of my Monday.

Nothing left to say about this team anymore that hasnt been said.

Coaches and players have a hell of a lot to answer for...

Trac is the only one showing some energy and intent. Can’t understand the negativity towards him. TMac is the one that makes my blood boil, along with many others.

That’s why, last 2-3 weeks he refuses to have a shot. Takes the pressure of himself.

Totally agree, it's criminal that he doesn't get anywhere near as much game time as he should because the I50 delivery is atrocious.

Nope, Bailey could win at the G occasionally with a more inferior list (on paper).

Goody has taken us from something verging on chocolates to one of the worst teams in the AFL with a better list in the space of 8 months.  With a crash bash play on at all costs (numbers at the ball) game style which makes it almost impossible to win against any oppositon on our home turf.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
