Oh please, there were multiple reasons we lost. Set shot kicking is one. Oscars terrible performance was another.

Do you think he is a player we should continue persisting with? I have seen him take fresh airs at spoils at least 3 times this year. He is useless, zero intensity, zero footy nous, zero skills. What exactly is he good at besides being relatively tall?

Again, if we drop him who do you replace him with? May, lever, petty, hore?? Because none of them were available. 

We lost because we couldn't convert up forward, it's as easy as that. World I prefer a backline with may, lever, Jetta, hore in it, of course but I'm not having a go at the backline for this loss

The angst with Omac is not that he cost us the game. It is that in so many ways and in so many games, he has been found incapable of executing his role.

This deficiency has been highlighted for 3 years as we had no other options. We now appear to have better options, while Oscar has failed to develop despite numerous opportunities.

The day of reckoning has now arrived.

that's a simplistic view. we lost because we were the worse side. OMac was part of that. he got beaten in crucial contests, repeatedly and easily. poor game from him, even by his low standards.

I don't think we were the worse side at all. We just didn't convert, we kicked 1 goal 8 behinds in the last, even if we went 4.5 then most on here would be happy. I know a lot blame omac for everything, and I'm not saying he was great but we literally had no one else, and reading on here you'd think he had 10 kicked in him

He's the only player who had an individual topic dedicated to his performance tonight, with calls he never plays again. We don't have better options as they weren't available and if we kicked straight then we win by over 5 goals

I rarely post on this site, the blinkered opinions of many are simply not worth debating.

I travelled to Darwin and saw Oscar's positioning on his player long before the ball was delivered. He has a high IQ, but not for football. This thread is about improving the side, nothing else.

This thread is dedicated to Oscar costing us the game, I'm just saying that's not the case and we had no other real alternative to him. At no point have I said he played a good game, what cost us the game was bad kicking and bad forward play, but that's been overlooked in here

Which lets not forget is also missing the best small defender in the comp in Jetta. 

We talk about Oscar and for good reason, but I reckon Tom is on par with him. 

Oscar rarely manages to halve contests, let alone win them, while Tom rarely marks anything, let alone kicks goals. 10 from 11 games is a pathetic return for a player of his maturity. The delivery has been rubbish, blah, blah, blah, but he doesn't mark the bloody thing.

No offence R&B  I was a fan of OMAC and he has his faults. He is not cut out for AFL. He has lost more than his Mojo . and plays with no confidence . His mind is somewhere else.  Punched the ball away from himself when could have taken the mark in the last line of defence luckily it rolled over for a behind. More than most likely will be dropped. Keeps making the obvious. Foot skills are ordinary and has no intensity. He wasn't any better in his first 50 plus games and now he is worse than ever. Sorry Omac  you lost me.

Looked ok and thought he will improve in 2018 however he has gone backwards to a point of no return. Is there a miracle? I hope so but you are asking for the unbelievable.

I laughed when OMac went for a spoil when he was 1 on 1 with Betts. Could you imagine any other full back going for a spoil if 1 on 1 with Spargo?

Have no scientific basis for this, but Oscar appears to have no fast twitch muscle fibres. He has no power. No intensity, no grunt, everything is done at one pace, slow motion.

He was an embarrassment tonight and had been all year.

I expect that he will lose the contest any time the ball is kicked in his vicinity. And so does he.

Historically he's done a decent job on Jenkins, which tells you he's even worse this year than previously. 

No physicality in the contest
No intercepting or strong play
Zero creativity or drive with the ball 

Like so many Melbourne players he did a few nice things in the VFL and was then promoted to a locked in spot in the senior side. At least now he should get the chance to show he can dominate at Casey. Maybe if he can he could have a future at AFL level.

In the tight games that we have lost over the past 3 years, OMac has generally been the reason.

When we have been easily defeated, OMac has been an opposition 'surety' to ramify forward dominance. 

In the games we have won, OMac has been unsighted except for clangers.

Get him off the field immediately. He is targeted, weekly, by opposition coaches and players as an easy-beat; he is an avenue to goal for all of the teams we have played this year.

Goodwin, we do not need him - and after all of these losses, he still gets a game to weaken our few onfield advantages.
