You mean Brad?

Even if he says no, at least he could show Goody how to walk away with years left on a contract

All the same to me.

A piece of driftwood would have more to offer than Goodwin at the moment.

Who would you bring in though?  On form, 3 quarters of our team should not be playing!

Anybody but Fritsch and Gus.  Cwags and Maynard.  The former are so far off it you may as well send them back to try and get a little of their mojo back for the 2nd half of the season.

And for Fritsch i would only be bringing him back as a wing or HF after showing some stellar form in that position at Casey.  That might mean leaving him there for the rest of the season (if he doesn't).

I think it is time to hear from the President and CEO now....

Meanwhile in the coaching box...

Injuries happen. They’ve destroyed us, but we also came into the season with poor game plan planning and with no real structural move on from last season, despite rule changes and losing our key forward.

This is the rub for me.
The "Chaos ball" Hail Mary game plan is garbage.
Our issues have been there for all to see over the previous 2 seasons  and nothing has been done to rectify the problems.
And we jumped the gun and hobbled ourselves for 4 years.
Sheesh.

Checked my Sportsbet - bookies have us favourite against Crows

McDonald injured? Excellent.

Can we just call the season off?

And what would you like to hear that we haven't heard before?

That he's made the phone call to Clarkson...

The injuries were always going to come.

GWS can physically do anything they want & we don’t respond. Toby Green knee’s with intent to hurt on MacDonald, then our skipper cops a full on poor disguised punch in the face & just nothing.

softest team in the Comp by a fair margin.

Been useless anyway. Weak in the air. Weak on the ground. And we banked on him being our main man. Good grief.

So glad that we moved home this week theses boxes are so interesting..................What a drop off after last weeks effort.

The truth. Not a robotic answer about connection

There is bad [censored] going down behind closed doors ?

I cannot understand how/why we prematurely extended Goodwin by four years!?

It's not like he was at risk of being poached mid-season  by other clubs this year!

This still hasn't been explained by the club and epitomises the disconnect between the back slapping club administrators and the rank and file members!

He's better than Weideman.

But has he won a game? I can’t remember.

I’m in no mood to tolerate that misplaced apostrophe.

That all too familiar feeling of 3 qtr time, seeing fans around you leaving because they have had enough, being tempted yourself but not moving because of some stupid 'moral code' that is just engrained in you now, and lastly the late footy game seagulls.

What. A. Feeling.

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
