Must be a bad moon rising. We may get a win tonight (and I hope we do)...doesn't really matter over the course of this season. Even if we fluke enough wins and make the 8 this year it's not going to be pretty. I'm already in reload mode for 2020. If we can get key players back fit and healthy and draft smartly then watch out. Until then.

Interesting Insta story video on MFC

Boys arriving at stadium....

Preuss only one who is carrying luggage, suspect he has luggage so he can get a car to the airport straight away... Suggests he's not coming into team unless there's a mishap in warm up

Call me an Old Fart if you like, but I reckon he looks SOOO much better with that respectable haircut!  He really looked like a Ninja with that mop he used to have!  From an unkempt kid, he now looks like a man!  Besides, he'll now be more streamlined, so no excuses for a great debut!  LOL

Garbage selection as per usual MFC Pruess has done everything right in every game he has played! Strategy should be

Play Pruess get Max to drop back into hole of WC Forward line and to Ruck where needed!!

The Heartbreaker?? Sheeit too sloooow.. defenders in Turbo and Petty ... wont be pretty

Another game sans injuries Lost at selection IMV

It AINT Rocket science

Good luck to The Ginga Ninja in first game!

Kind of ironic, last time we went over there our season was on the line, circumstances couldn't have been any more different. Not sure what I honestly expected back then but I think we were all shocked at the result.

Things have gone down hill since then.

Not sure what to expect tonight.

I am taking my son for his first AusKick tonight. Alot has changed since my first kick of the footy through to his;

8 (unfortunately I think that's about to be 9) Prime Minister's

10 Melbourne coaches (even sadder)

5 different names for Kardinia park

34 players on our list were born

4 clubs were invented

13~ John Farnham tours (difficult to quantify)

22 Marvel movies

14 Professional Darts Corporation world titles for Phil Taylor

7 F1 titles for Michael Schumacher

7 V8 super car championships for Jamie Wincup (1 for Mark Winterbottom, go Frosty)

23 confirmed nuclear detonations

Pluto was officially dropped as a planet

0 Melbourne premierships

The sun will come up tomorrow regardless, we will have our time in it again, would be nice to have a win to accompany my inevitable hangover though

 :roos:

What about all the clubs we have beaten in a finals Game who have subsequently won a flag themselves. The list is impressive: Swans,North, Carlton, Collingwood, Hawthorn, W. Bulldogs, Essendon, Adelaide, West Coast from memory.

I don’t know why we got Pruess if we won’t even play him against sides with two designated rucks. Especially when we are decimated by injuries and our only tall forward is our of form.

You would have to be an old fart to remember Barry Vagg, the great number 32.

Exactly right!!!

17 injuries and playing a tall side and we refuse to play support to our biggest weapon, Maxy

They've outfoxed us on the picking of second ruck!

All that stands between Simon Goodwin and a lot of pee'd off Melbourne fans (me included) is Max Gawn right now. If Max gets torched by the dual rucks of WCE (not for the first time), I'mma have some words let me tell you.

God damn the lack of a delete function.

Goodwin has fallen for Simpson's three card trick, Vardy was never going to ruck by himself when the better ruckmen bring hickory is  available,  team selection is Goodwin's Achilles heel he's got no idea about team selection he should be kept out of the team selection process, they're going to Target Max work him over, vardy is just going to smash into him whenever he has got the chance.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
