We are crap and for someone to comment on who we should drop i.e Jones ,Anb and to bring in Preuss. Eat your words. It is time to get rid of fan favs. Preuss, Petty and Keilty are a must. Wagner bros a w.o.t .

Glad we are away next week. Will not watch it.

I disagree with the middle.  We no longer control it when either of Viney or Jones go through there.  They are turtle paced and just end up giving a handball to a player under even more pressure as a result.

The minute neither of them play through there we start looking more mobile.

Clarry's also had a very ordinary night by his standards.

What I'm saying is our centre clearance structures are not functioning like last year... Max has been worked out, ans is not playing effectively.

We aren't getting clean ball out of the middle at ball ups.

Our backs and Mids push to far forward when we have it, and them we cough it up,  and it comes back thru empty space... as they run thru space.   Scoring at will.

Goody and the match committee have to change things quickly,  before this becomes a disaster...  which in turn means we have to change our personnel/types,  into the team.We brought in some runners and we need rot change our structures and setups.

Our zone is hurting us, on rebound.

Over officiating is killing the game. Rapidly losing interest all together.

You only have to look as far as AFLW to see how contrived the FIXture is to ensure $$$$$ and that means favourable outcomes for the teams that have huge membership! We played a game tonight that would have resulted in a win if there were no umpires! If you or any supporter can't see that... you probably think corruption can only exist overseas

At the same time, how blessed are we to have a Friday night game??? We aren’t even the first game of the round. You can’t say that we have a commercial benefit when the game isn’t the first of the week.

Again yes, from the media to the organization itself....corruption is rampant

Averaging 114 points against this season.

That is bottom of the ladder caliber.

Mr Goodwin & All Players

You need to take a good mother f***ing hard look at yourselves.

Disgusting, disgraceful, absolutely embarrassing for our club.

When °Nev Jetta gets smashed front on, play on no free kick and then some of the BS that Essendon scored goals off?

That's absolute rubish.

And some of the crap they scored from.  FFS.

AFL lift your game.

Yes, at this stage I am writing off 2019. I'm giving Goodwin and coaching group until 2020 round 1 to reorganise this clubs onfield performance

With the draw we’ve got this could really be a painful year, I think we’ve reached a ceiling with certain players and our quality aren’t coming to fore. Tom McDonald is better than what he’s showing, I think it’s a combination of poor delivery to him and low confidence but him getting his confidence back is important.

Meanwhile our defence is a rabble, no one takes defensive marks and that’s the big difference. Lever is massively missed right now because right now all the defenders are doing/can do is unconvincing fists.

I think we’re heading for bottom 6 this year, the draw we’ve got is very difficult and it would’ve been tough if we were on song. Now it’s going to ensure a year of pain.

I hate to say it but the positive is that looking forward to 2020 (yes I’m becoming one of those people) we will have a favourable draw.

Same, I'm in a spiral

The umpires combined paralysis at paying Demon players hard earn protection = free kicks, should be exposed and researched as fondly as some so called journos spew up the Tanking headlines!!! (as if half the comp weren't doing same)

I have officially hit the panic button!

Not panicking BUT. even if we change our shape,  with quicker running players...  our main drivers and leaders are all hurt,  in the feet.

TMC has lost a yard of speed, and also endurance,  and IMO is on limited Klms training thru the week.

Viney is slower by foot.

And Jones as well. with age.  not his fault.

Our skilled players like Hannan are not available. and we are relying on petracca who is a slow as the tortoise.

Bright lights are Lockhart, CWagner, Oli, Melk, Harmes,

I'm concerned that are main drivers are playing sore in the feet...  can't run properly.   Last years foot injuries are going to really hurt us.   I just wonder !!!

Who are the players who are impediments to a flag? Go!

i kind of think frost and omac

[censored] off. They have made disgraceful decisions all night in scoring position.

Extremely eloquent why don’t you listen to the coach no excuses irrespective of whether the umpiring was [censored]. Good team overcome bad umpiring it that simple.

Who here is with US and who is agains us?

3 games we can do it fron here.

We can R(b)G... but we must change structure,, discard this full press, and come back to a rolling  press.

... or all the way to traditional old footy, might be too much for us atmo.

If he makes a comment he will be fined. What is spoken behind closed doors would be greatly different. Agreed good teams can overcome [censored] umpiring but to think they didn’t have an influence is very naive

Not looking good for this season. Give us another 4 weeks and if we are still zero points we might as well look forward to an early draft pick and look to next year.

Im wasting my life with this team and just footy in general. Rules committee can go F itself, 6 - 6 - 6 shove it.

Well this was the first game where both sides scored over 100 points. 6-6-6 will stay, we just need to learn how to exploit it

????????????????????????????

good to see hunt back in form ( love what he can bring) , Fritsch stepping up and trac in bursts but they were the only things I liked. Umpires were horrible... especially in the last qtr. viney can’t seem to keep his feet, prob injured, . Tmac clearly carrying an injury. Backline zone  set up... a monumental fail. How did we go so far backwards in this so fast? It’s going to be a long shitful year I’m afraid. Nothing like the season being done by round 3... just like the old days.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
