Honestly, how could we have fallen away this far this quickly! Surely last year's demons are there somewhere.ย

Thats was a commitment act.ย ย  And he is not totally committed, and so is not fully focused, because of it.

He will never get any better as long as he does not fully commit to the team and to the game.ย ย  Tracca thinks far too much about tracca.

ย

Mind you, he has a few mates doing similar this season.

Fritta is disappointing so far.ย  I think Fritta needs a spell at Casey.ย  He is well off his own standards.

I would persevere with Hunt, but push him forward.

I wouldย  drop Petracca now with Fritta, so they both can sort themir heads out with the VFL.

Its time for Keilty, and Stretch again.

Keep Lockhart in.

Sparra back to Casey.

ย

I want to see a quicker running Mfc team next week, against the Bummers.

Completely agree Petracca to the twos. Not just for one week either.

i canโ€™t agree on Fritsch sorry. Not a good game tonight but I think he will come good.

i donโ€™t know why Wagner was dropped after last week?

Check out round 4 last year, you sure you want the 2018ย Demons, ok you got em!

Edited by โ€”coachโ€”

Petracca and Fritta dropped.ย  Sparrow back to Casey to continue his development.

I'd like to see Keilty in for either OMc, or maybe Frost.

Stretch in. Wagner in.

Hunt forward.

I wish we had another nippy rover to bring in to pair with Lockhart, like a chandler or bedford. ย  But I don't think they'd be ready yet.

ย

ย

Stretch is a certainty and Keilty to debut and Bull Smith.ย

If Goodwin has any guts heโ€™ll drop Petracca and Jones. Hunt and ANB also nowhere near good enough and Frost is a lost cause.Sparrow is not ready.ย

Check round 22, we were 5th with a record of 14-8. I would take that in a heartbeat right now.

Wonโ€™t be many changes. When you win inside 50โ€™s in a landslide and get thumped you need to look at structures and game plan.

Petracca had a shocker and is on thin ice but while weโ€™re so short onย talent we bought in a kid who wasnโ€™t on our list 15 days ago I canโ€™t see us dropping him.

Iโ€™ve been a critic of Weid but the conditions didnโ€™t suit him tonight nor did the delivery except when KK hit him on the chest and the Geelong bloke still somehow marked it.

Canโ€™t drop Jones being captain and all.

Frost for Petty.

Hunt for Stretch.

ANB for anyone. He will bounce back due to the ground he covers but while he is covering all that ground without creating pressure or causing damage he needs to go back to Casey.

No, not for one week... 3 or 4 weeks or until he decides where his commitment is.

He needs to go back and practice loosening his shackles with Casey...ย  and rediscover footy again.ย ย  Learn to have some fun... and discover full commitment to his game.ย  he is passionless at this stage of his career.ย ย  Last season as well.

He was better last year, in parts,ย  but he isย  playing introverted/inhibited football.

So after 2 rounds you want to be 14-8?ย Not sure thatโ€™s possible unless the basic laws of time have changed recently?

In -ย ย ย ย  Petty,ย  Keilty,ย  C. Wagner, Baker

Out -ย  Petracca, Hunt, Frost, Sparrow

ย

ANB lucky.

Yep.ย  The changes will be meaningless, really.

For example, what difference would it do to drop someone like Weideman for Keilty?ย  It's not a knock on what Dec is doing, but our structure forward of the ball is so poor that it doesn't matter who is down there right now.

Only minimal changes for me.ย  Big changes to the structure and gameplan will be welcome.

What would we change with what ?

Coach needs to make a statement as too many are lethargic from all the over-the-top hype...ย  its mucked with their minds.

Its mostly the kids who thought they were shoe-ins.ย

The oldies like Jones is just lacking some miles into him. and trying too hard in desperation.

I would not drop any leaders.

But those who aren't working hard enough should be let down.ย ย  Starting with Tracca.ย ย  He needs a wake-up call.ย  Not professional enough for the game today. too soft in too many ways and it shows in his physique.

Compare him to Harmes... and Harmes body shape, over the past 2 years. ย  Harmes woke up,ย  and is now super-fit and a leader.

9 players got < 10 touches, so there is the first 9 changes

and we need a change to the game plan.......and the bath water

I made a rule not to degrade our players after a loss, I will calm down, I will look at at the team in the cool calm of the new day, and then I will drop T Mac, Petracca ,Hunt and Jones.

Not dropping Weideman. I haven't seen anyone suggest that.

Hunt is not accountable Hibberd is slow and out of form, Jetta is getting beaten. Then to go with 3 talls on a wet night - idiotic. Jeez we miss Lewis.ย

Hunt and frost to go.ย

Sparrow got away with the fumbles last week, this week he didnt get close enough to fumble, Trac did (i.e. fumble) also no pressure, not sure what ANB does, Melks playing without confidence (hes a forward that doesn't want as shot at goal). Weids has playef 2 good game (unfortunately last year). Sparrow and Trac to go.

Kk was also poor (no defense)

Spargo and Keilty in, then whatever; perhaps Stretch and anyone fast.

Agree 100% DV8. I still have faith he can be a really good footballer for us. He looks as though he is so restrained, and trying to do everything perfectly. Needs to do the simple stuff more often

Pull the bath plug first... =ย  drop a few players,ย  so they can reset their minds back to Zero again, and reboot.

I know it's tongue in cheek, but it's a cop out. We put up a very similar performance against Hawthorn last year.

To me, the scary thing is that we haven't shown any improvement in our weakest area. Our reliance on battering teams around the ball is unsustainable week in, week out, and weย don't have the class to win games when that doesn't happen.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
