We would want to put a better side on the park next week. I wouldn't read too much into todays performance. I would say we are missing at least 8 players from our best 22. The richmond side looks much closer to full strength than does ours.

It's also a great opportunity for some of our fringe players to start building a case for round 1 selection.  Expecting those guys in particular to go pretty hard at it.

David King keeps saying he ‘can’t wait to see Max Gawn in action’ in Shepparton, has there been a change or is Kingy on the gas?

You dont like the colours?

I love them. Just wonder whose decision it was. Club or AFL? Essendon or Carlton did not wear clash strips.

Anybody know how to get rid of the stats screen on my tablet, and have the video full screen?

I got a full screen using Kayo sports. I never could get a full screen using the AFL app last year. Not saying it can't be done though.

That was a ridiculous free kick against Brayshaw. Umpires need to engage their brain from time to time. Its pathetic.

We've tackled like that twice since then and not got a free.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
