This is going to be a tough one for track watchers because according to the mfc site, “the session on Friday, 15 February has been moved behind closed doors.”

The question is whether there are any Demonlanders who are our flies on walls.

Otherwise, the next open session at Gosch's Paddock will be held on Wednesday, 20 February (9.30am)

I wonder if behind closed doors means inside/another venue away from prying eyes or don't come and spy on our super secret game plan being practiced on an open field.

Interesting. Monday 18th was also previously listed as an open session but has now been replaced by Wednesday 20th.

Good, might be fine tuning our plan of attack for the big scratch match next week. Give the enemy nothing.

What is has meant in last couple of years is an enclosed venue, obviously games are coming close, we want to do some setups

On that note,  it was amusing to see a Norths guy wandering around on Tuesdsy checking all the faces under caps or hoodies

Saty mentioned in the Praccy match thread there is no training, so he's gone to watch the Pies train

Now that's a bannable offence. ?

Not if he asks them questions about themselves, provides his views, gets Pendles, Sidebottom and Beams shirty about being asked and stirs up the Pies faithful on their Colliwobbles Board! ?

For that he would get the Medal of Bravery (BM).

We can't ban Saty for going to watch Collingwood train. He went along, stood by the fence watching their match simulation and bingo, right in front of him De Goey goes down with a leg injury. He should go and watch Collingwood every day of the week. He's their un lucky charm !!

Well training at Casey is about as closed door as you can get! I mean does anyone actually live out there?

Certainly a long way for you to ride from Fitzroyalty on your fixy Lekker, Earl

If you watch the clip, I may be in background, it was about 15 metres away

What happened @Satyriconhome?

Impact injury or collision or something else?

Nah, the normal innocuous training injury, just seemed to get the landing wrong in a marking contest, had looked really good uptil then

A mate just told me that he reckons .... '....closed doors to teach all the backs how to smack Cox, all the mids how to smack Grundy, and all forwards how to outnumber and confuse the Filth defenders under the new positioning rules...' And that was just the pre=season 'friendly' match.

I hope they didn't waste too much time on Grundy, he might not be playing, wasn't there yesterday

Thanks for that, Saty. The descent of an ease of approaching trepidation at any gradient is a welcome thing. If he does play, Gawny need not bother to upset him, I am sure Preuss will flatten him at some point in a contest.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
