same as i-select

ISelect started as our AFLW sponsor and then stepped up to menโ€™s sponsor, ran into issues and have pulled back a lot of spend, Dees being 1 of those.

I was aware of that.  Doesn't change my view that it may have been deliberate.  For a start we don't know to whom they sent that release.

Companies know when people read, click, consume content, they would have waited until the time they believed it would deliver the biggest bang for buck. PR teams, marketing teams are all over this kind of stuff... allegedly.

Opel may be back with Commodore & Astra ++ Inchape looking at buying the Holden brand

I doubt the Aussie Market will touch them.

Holden buyers feel very cheated if you read many online comments. They have hardly sold anything in the last year.

Ford were smart. The Mustang is a Ford product people already connect with.

GM left a hole ?

Electric cars--- the sound of silence!

Takes getting used to.

We used to have a Camry hybrid. Bloody brilliant thing...truly.

Said to A ... if they can make a SUV like this...that drives like it looks...can go a distance..  you're on a winner.

Hello Jaguar EPace ;)

Would love one

That makes 2 sponsorships out from 2018 and 1 in for 2019.

We still seem to have a revolving door when it comes to sponsors. It would be nice to not have to worry about signing sponsors at the culmination of every year.

As for the $1m+ sponsorship, would that not mean that we lost $1m+ due to infiniti no longer sponsoring us?

1 co-principal partner out - iSelect. 1 co-principal partner in - Jaguar.

They are the jumper sponsors and the big ones to get signed and hopefully on multi year deals. I think the AFL brand protection rules would only be for that level of sponsor. Toyota can't be cheaply undercut by Mazda buying Gold Coast's jumper sponsorship for $200,000 is surely the idea there. For the lower level of sponsors I doubt the rule would apply. There's almost no way Infiniti would've paid us 1M+ to not even be a jumper sponsor last year.

In terms of Major Sponsors - which infinity was last year, they are the ones that get worn on the shorts and club polos and have match day activities. The website currently lists 8. Johnnie Walker, IG, China Southern, Haynes Paint, Chisholm, NT, New Balance, CSG.

Plenty of time to add more at that level. We've had multi year deals with those companies.

We could make them whistle as they go,  or play music externally, OD ?

This is a significant issue for people with visual impairments.  In the US, electric cars have to make a noise below 20 kmh.  It is an option that is switched off as normal in Australia, and is a real danger to visually impaired people in car parks...

Brilliant TV ?

Great TV.

Along with West Wing it can be watched multiple times and you still get new takes on issues.

Has to be the best ending ever to a series as well.

Yes Madmen and Breaking Bad both had superb endings, which after such an intense and long journey is so important...

Is the โ€˜Jโ€™ in Jaguar pronounced the same way as we pronounce the โ€˜Jโ€™ in Jagermeister? โ€˜Yaguarโ€™?

naming rights?   the new 'Leverage' Defender... or maybe the 'Mayday' Defender ?

Does anyone know the commercial terms?

Great news to have the BOJ sponsor secured prior to Round 1. It shouldn't be difficult, but it has been.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old sideโ€”the Tigersโ€”coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by โ€œtheyโ€ the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around.Itโ€™s no secret that the Demonsโ€™ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryanโ€™s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
