I get the feeling a number of clubs and managers are not going to forget Freo’s behaviour in this trade period.

Would love to see them get bitten by this. Although in truth that may already have happened. I cant see their players would be loving what the club is doing at the moment...really has an amateur hour look to it. Doesnt bode well for club morale. IF ( and its a big if) Hogan and Lobb do get there...its not a great way to start is it. Welcome to the club boys.

That number is "17" ;)

No but you’d think he would know the intentions of players

Still odd for any manager to comment about other players but he's also a media guy I guess.

Liam Pickering just said that all 3 players definitely want to leave.

He said the deal will get done.

Neale to Brisbane

Hogan to Freo

 pick 5 to Suns

May and second round pick to Melbourne

Where has he said this?

Are you thinking he's with us in 19 ? I'm not so sure.

That’s if he stays bb.

He probably knows a bit of what's going on, but there is no chance he is privy to what the players and clubs, are truly thinking. He is probably just talking about his own experiences.

Nah, just clickbait Wise ?

Pickers on sen still thinks the deal will go ahead.

Pic 5 from Brisbane to freo to us to gc.

Neale goes to Brisbane, hogan to freo, may to us and 5 to gc. (Hopefully we can get kk in there too)

Will be interesting to c if it gets done.

Without being too cute I'd have thought, despite all the normal niceties uttered, that his remaining at the Dees now is just this side of untenable .

Well I believe it has got to the stage that if what you are insinuating is true he can play FF at Casey. I think he is better than that though so he will play his best for us. Freo stance may have helped him into staying at least until 2021.

Time will tell dl4e.

Who knows but footy is a business now so anything is possible.

Hopefully on Dockerland the 'Is Peter Bell the right guy' thread is nearing 100 pages.

I think we still get short-changed from this.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
