That's exactly what we need haha. Our list management team calling Freo, drunk.

It’s better then being on the glass pipe and suggesting ridiculous trades like Freo are at the moment.  They’re in La La Land.  Send in Angry Todd, imagine being on the other end of him breathing fire down the phone at you, Neale to Lions for pick 5, 5 and 11 to the Dee’s and an apology from P.Bell for being s jive turkey.

Thank f*** for the Suns & Blues.

Would he want to go to a bottom 2/3 side...?

I’m sure the royal use to have a smear of jam in them, last pack I bought didn’t though.  Do you crack the chocolate that covers the marshmallow on your forehead before you eat them as well?

Royals should have a biscuity bottom...layer of jam.. marshmallow on top all coated in chocolate. If not it is an imposter.

They also lose a pick one when they could have had both.

Their attitude is bizarre- “A bird in the hand...”

What, have I stumbled into a biscuit review thread?

FMD...

It’s morphing from a possibly future Fremantle full forward thread into a former Footscray rover thread.

Comfort food while waiting impatiently for Freo to come into the real world.

Yep, perfect way to pass the time. Especially given that there will not be any more updates at this time of the night, just rehashings of what we already don't know haha

It's like a delicious ad break before we get back to the show tomorrow.

Hogan IS NOT A FREE AGENT NEXT YEAR

sorry to shout, but haven’t we gone through that several thousand times?

I never said he was a free agent.

His MFC contract will run out at the end of 2019.

Any player can refuse to sign a contract extension and put themselves into the draft.

DO YOU REMEMBER THAT'S WHAT PLAYERS DID BEFORE FREE AGENCY. THEY CAN STILL DO IT.

It is entirely possible the real situation is that Jesse wants to stay but doesn’t want to sign a long term deal yet whilst the club wants a long term deal for certainty thinking it’s better to take the pain now than in 2 years. If that is the case both sides have been honest. Jesse has had a rough trot and probably not sure what he wants in a few years thus told the club he doesn’t want to commit for 4 years whilst the club has said that’s what they want.  We should be slow to suggest a lack of candour.

Seems unlikely to me. Touring Freo's change rooms was an aggressive move by Jesse. He wants to go. He's past the point of negotiating contracts with Melbourne. I mean hopefully he has a change of heart if he stays another season, but the narrative has changed suddenly surrounding him and I'm more willing to believe he has shocked the club with his desire to depart vs they knew all along and were just BS'ing the media and supporters.

I've gone from being angry at Freos bullshttery to absolutely gleeful thinking of going over to Perth next year and watching us wipe the floor with Fremantle.

They won't get Jesse, Lachie will walk out and an 180 point defeat at the hands of the Dees will trigger Peter Bell's sacking midway through the season :D

They did, and they also used to be bigger.

Everything is getting so goddamn small these days.

Remember in the 'old days' where you could actually get your hand inside a Pringles tube?  Now only a little kid could do it, and I have to shake the [censored] out!  ?

Honestly,  if that is what is happening then the simple solution is "hogan signs a 3 year extension that gives us the comfort we need.  The extension is on megabucks anyway, so he has surety as well.  We have agood natured, open chat about him,  his family etc. and how we understand the situation and that if it comes to pass next year or the year after he decides to leave we won't carry on and play hard ball or force him tti stay off he needs to be home, but we'll trade him to the WA team that offers the best deal for us, assuming it is reasonable market rate."

That isn't a compromise for either party,  it's a win-win: we get him in our episode the next few years, we get certainty to protect our asset value, he gets great money,  a chance to win a flag in the next year's but if he wants to trade he gets it or at the end of his next contract he's a FA anyway.

And that tells me,  that isn't the driving force.  Either he wants to go now and we've said "not unless we get a great deal" or "sign long term or leave" or "nothing personal, but if you are open to moving we believe we can improve our list by trading you due to your high value"

Dark chocolate royals are fantastic (and highly underrated)!  And you can't go wrong with the classic Tim Tam!

Royals are surely not for dunking, and one even needs to handle a Tim Tam cautiously in the dunking content.

Holding on too long, rather like Freo with the Jesse deal, can result in it all crumbling and ending up with nothing g.

Timing is so important in both these endeavors.  I usually get it right with Tim Tams, but Freo seem destined to have it all melt away from holding on too long.

Do you think that walking back and forth will be enough excercise to offset the sugar penalty?

Yes. It's possible to be on the bottom of the ladder, and handle a situation well. It's also possible to be 2nd on the ladder and handle a players last year poorly, Look at Adelaide with Lever. You think it will be unprofessional like that? Players rumoured to have been ignoring him, half time grand final arguments and the club not inviting him to b& f.

Perhaps, but we are talking about Carlton

The TimTam is perfect when opposite corners are slightly bitten off and then the remaining biscuit is used as a straw to sip your coffee... before shoving the whole remaining chocolatey/coffee taste sensation into your mouth ?

Perhaps. It could also smack of Freo being not as into Hogan as everyone thinks they are ... could be the salary, could be concerns about the foot, could be ... well, anything. Perhaps from their side, they're just not that desperate.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
