If the answer is I want to play for Fremantle, I have no idea what the questions is.

"Is there a club you'd prefer to play for to avoid the horror of playing in front of 90,000 fans for the rest of your career?"

Not sure if it’s been said but Freo haven’t shown up at Marvel stadium yet!  Bunch of tools.

Apparently they've been locked in a meeting with GWS for hours re. Rory Lobb

Hey Jesse we're in WA - no not the premiers

We have an experienced coach - no has not won a premiership like the other guy

Have some great players - well not as good as the other side

Are in a premiership window - well not quite yet but within 50 years or so maybe

Play exciting football - not really Ross is coach

Lots of forward 50 entry's - OK not that many really

Plenty of support from other KPF's - woops not us

So what do you say Jesse are you coming to Fremantle? We can't pay what you want but purple would look good on you!

Rock/hard place is exactly what this is.

And that's a perfect definition of negotiation. Some people think it's defined as getting what you think something is worth, but that does not take into account the other party, and the fact that both parties will not come to the table with equal bargaining power. It might look like we have the upper hand with a gun, contracted player, but that's clearly not all that's in play here. If it was, we would have received our 2 first rounders last week.

exactly RBMB.

Why the Suns? Didn’t think they would be needed until later.

WA Time... they are still sleeping for a couple of more hours. Don't wake them and make Belly cranky! No trades will get done then

4 way trade maybe? Dees, Freo, Brissy and Suns

On the surface not sure why Brisbane do this? Surely more invloved

This deal can’t be last minute. If they stall till tonight I say we screw them. We want to get May and perhaps another runner. Can’t do all that with little time.

Any conspiracy theorists out there think that Croc Media and AFL trade radio might be trying to delay a few things to make this evenings coverage actually interesting!

I could see Matt Thompson trying to trip up someone in a corridor on Hutchy's orders!

Imagine if all these big trades get done by 5 pm.... three hours *LIVE* at AFL house looking at a forlorn looking SImon Lethlean waving around wads of cash to an empty room.

Edited by Ouch!

Bell has followed Mahoney into the toilet.

Encouraging news!

I do not think we are being “shafted” in giving Hogan and in return receiving May, KK and Pick 23, however I still feel as though the deal is certainly unders.

KK should not be part of the deal – Mahoney said earlier last week that we would have been able to facilitate a trade regardless of whether we trade Hogan or not, so IMO, he should be a separate deal entirely.

Essentially, Freo are giving us Pick 5 and 23, which although “acceptable”, is not a fair compensation. It really should be Pick 5 and 11 or Pick 5 and next year’s first rounder. But given our desire for May and Hogan’s desire to go home, it seems we have lost the bargaining power in this trade and we just have to make the most out of what we will get.

It is disappointing, but in all honesty, we cannot assess the fairness of a trade for another couple of years.

Right now, if the deal turns out to be what is currently assumed, I won’t be in an uproar, but I definitely won’t be happy. Losing a player of Hogan’s calibre is never an easy pill to swallow, but unfortunately, we just have to accept it for what it is and trust in the department for now.

I will say though, I have a new most hated team and that team is Freo.

Perth time

Lachie Neale to be a lion within the hour as reported on the AFL website.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
