Trade Radio saying Rory Lobb is worth a 1st round pick?? I thought a 2nd round would get it done for him or am I missing something?

Lobb is a seriously good link player who can also play ruck and forward.

Definitely worth a  first rounder. The debate would be over high, medium or low.

Lobb is such a 'nothing' footballer.

Not a key forward...

Not a first ruck...

Just... meh.

Future first round they reckon. I’d have thought around 20. But they’re offering him 750k so not easy to do that and then argue he’s not worth a first rounder

If you could pass that on to Freo, so they only give a second rounder, it would be much appreciated!

Interesting that we would tell them what deal would get Jesse, when Jesse hasn't even told us he wants to go, allegedly.

Hard to see how Freo are going to satisfy us and GWS without trading out established stars of their own, more than Neale even

Yes, though it is possible that Jesse is ambivalent and we have told Freo we want more than Freo is likely to be able to provide.

There's some options there still.

They've used 1st round picks in last years draft, so that frees up next year.

They'll surely trade Neale after him being so public about wanting to leave.

There's a possibility of trading an early first rounder into two mid-first rounders.

I reckon we were told to deadline and we simply haven't leaked Jesse's decision since.

What, Jesse can write with either hand?

I find it odd there really isn't much talk of the Hogan trade considering his status and worth, all gone fairly quiet and lots of dribble on others.

If signing a multi-million dollar contract I reckon he could use his foot to hold the pen.

Lever is a key part of my optimism... thought that would have been blatantly obvious.

KK is a great addition, also not a key position player. He will be replacing lewis, or potentially going onto a wing/defence rotation with salam.

May is also a great addition, but just because we are trying to get a player in doesn't mean we cannot succeed without said player. I personally think making a prelim with a super young list, without our best defender, is cause for optimism.

You said it was "a myth that we struggled down back"

It's no myth. You can say it Fonzie...I was w-w-w-w-...

I say im optimistic about our defence in 2019, you say "wrong, that's why we got lever"... your bringing shame to jnr's name

btw, the 70's called and wants its joke back

Why not. We simply tell them what will get the deal done. It's called naming your price.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
