Preuss must be a done deal then. Also was Bugg out of contract? shame we couldn't get trade value from him.

He was mate

Thought Mitch King showed enough early to do better in the VFL this year and kick on but once he was dropped from the VFL side that wasn't happening.ย

Flip and athletic type but lacked any real AFL qualities and did nothing at Casey.

Feel for Pat McKenna, had a terrible run with injuries and couldn't get anything going at Casey but even without the fitness if you've got an AFL future you should show something in the 2's.

By all reports all pretty good guys and good team mates so we'll need to reload and go again at the drafts.

That gives us 6 spots on senior list with AVB, JKH and Kent uncontracted.ย ย

AVB and JKH are surely getting new deals. Kent might want to leave.ย

Add Kent into the Hogan deal to ensure we get 2 first rounders and change

Iโ€™ ll back the list managers but Think Bugg could have been handy ย as a back up .ย

I believe D.Johnston and D.Kelity are also both uncontracted as yet...

5 go and 7 spots on the list, that is quite a cleanout.

Kent could fit in Hogan's suitcase or maybe we could agree to trade hogan and send Kent over with a Hogan mask instead.

Hopefully delisting all three established (CP) and potential developing rucks means that Preuss is a done deal.

ย

7 spots + the potential of Hogan/JKH/Kent leaving. We must seriously be confident on landing some free agents to fill the list. Canโ€™t see us taking more then 4 picks at the ND

Gee wiz...ย

Maybe we are having an active trade period? 7 spots on the list ready to go!ย

Surely thats locked in.

Kudos to MFC for telling them now they won't get contracts.ย  It gives their managers time to find another club to which they can go for free as they will be Delisted Free Agents.

It is a respectful way of letting players go, unlike some clubs hold on to their players till very late in the trade cycle in the hope they get a pick of some small value late in the draft.

I would be very happy to see any of them find their way to a new club.

Wow, this is a huge clean out so far, also is Tyson going to the Saints? So then that will another one gone.

I cannot understand why people talk of Hogan being traded. It is just insane. I wont even look at the trade Hogan thread.

ย

Have heard that JKH andย Tim Smith have signed new 1 year deals and Keilty elevated to the senior list.

The footy department are not mucking around!

Premiership window is open and they make an additional 5 spots on the list. Wow, 7 spots on the list now.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
