Would that be the fabled Reality Bus?

That would be likely to break down before you hit Mt. Gambier but would be more likely to function fine until you hit the Nullarbor.

I've been in jail again Colin....don't think badly of me.

When do the members allocation tickets go up, 9am AEST Monday?

I doubt that is the reality.

Im going. Wasn't going to before last night. Couldn't not after last night.

Checking flights. Looks like about $1100 is the cheapest from Canberra (via Adelaide on the way over and Sydney on the way back).

Return flight leaves just after midnight and results in an 11:45am arrival in Canberra...and then a wedding to attend in the afternoon.

Disheveled would probably be an understatement.

I’m so disappointed at how easy it is for airlines to rip people off. I just can’t justify the cost. Gutted!

If it was everywhere else I would happily drive.

A mate went to flight centre this morning and it seems they looked after him compared to the online prices. I saw one Qantas flight for $2300 one way.

He booked flights and 2 nights accomodation at the Crown Promenade hotel for two of us. Just over $1300 each. Flight centre might be worth trying if time permits.

I'm not sure, I can get tickets but I hate going over there and the last couple of times I have we have lost and the supporters over there, both teams, are feral. It's just so expensive and you have to spend a night in that shytehole as well, decisions, decisions.

Are there flights available, does anyone know?

Perth based Dees fan and could not be more excited!! If anyone has a barcode they won’t be using for the game PLEASE let me know! Would hate to miss the biggest game in years!

Will the club be likely to have a big screen somewhere for thousands of Dee's supporters to congregate and watch? I'm sure it would be very well attended.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

  • POSTGAME: Western Bulldogs

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
