Honestly couldn't give a rip about the entertainment. As long as it's semi popular acts that can do their 3 songs and get off it will get the job done. They don't need to spend a million dollars on some world beater.

Mind you angry Anderson in the hovercraft was memorable ....

Saw it in person at the one GF played at Waverley

Wasnt it the bat mobile

You guys are boring. The Black Eyed Peas are going to smash it. They have some great songs that get most people pumped up, and even of they are a bit long in the tooth now, they will still get the crowd up and about.

Can't was to watch them while the Demons are warming up in the rooms ?.

Who gives a rats ring about the entertainment. The Wiggles could be screaming Sweet Child of Mine whilst nude and I wouldn't even give it a  glance. It's only about the footy.

Actually wouldnt mind seeing th at. It would raise the standard. Blue wiggle can keep his clothes on though.

I can't tell you how much I hate Grandfinal day "entertainment". There have been a few successes and a long litany of failures, but for me it is just an annoying thing that diverts attention away from the footy. I just wish the AFL would focus on the actual game, and leave off 80% of the carp that surrounds the day (e.g. interviewing idiot fans in the car park, doing 3-second vacuous interviews with arriving players and coaches, images of planes flying over, images of politicians and C grade celebrities sitting in the stands).

I just want to watch the game. And I want to watch the Dees win one.

Would have preferred Chad Morgan.

I sold Chad a refrigerator on the Sunshine Coast many years back.

Until that point I was sure that his teef were fake, and part of his act.

I was horrified to realise they were his actual teef

ewwww

Hey hey back up a bit, Jimmy is a national treasure. Ain't no second prize a certainty to feature.

Black eyed peas though? Very lame. I didn't think they existed anymore.

If they wanted a hip hop act, they have plenty of commercially viable Australian artists to choose from.

The Sunnyboys are still touring, wish we could get a proper Aussie band like that :(

or even The Saints.

What I want to see is a player get on stage (jack reiwold style) and perform lady lumps with them.... Is this even possible (are they doing a after match?)

What? You don’t want musical acts chosen by people that can barely run the sport they manage?

I’m with ET. It’s embarrassing every year. In fact the only reason a take a quick glance at the entertainment is to see if they topped the last embarrassment.

The advantages of the entertainment 'slot' at the game is twofold:

1. It is a great chance to get to spend considerable time to buy a beer and a pie with dead horse at the crowded vendors, and

2. It is a great time to quaff a few frothies at the bar, and still carry one safely and spill-free back to your seat.

Bogan music? Lol sorry your highness

Who are the regular classical artists you normally listen to at a sensible volume in the Range Rover on your way to high tea?

I don't drive a RR or drink tea, but don't like Barnsey either, people are allowed to have an opinion Smokey.

Obviously Chainmale wasn't available

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
