Our decision making and skills are killing us. Midfield getting beaten, but where in front if our midfield lifts in the second half we should win.

Half time couldn't have come soon enough.

Time to readjust and realize not everything is one for the highlight reel.

Our short passes have been criminal.

If we don't fix it (and improve our inside 50s), we won't be so lucky, because I doubt the Hawks will miss those chances in the 2nd half.

We've been given a lifeline here. We don't really deserve that lead, but we have to make it count!

From our defensive 50 that quarter most times we kicked it out back to them. Need to run it out with handball or kick to a one on one, not an outnumber.

Classic clash of game styles.

Lot of players need to lift a lot of work to be done yet.

Oliver did not stage. Commentators are morons.

It's all over Twitter. Fox footy saying he dived, AFL Nation asking people if he flopped.

Anyone who thinks that Oliver flopped, I’m very happy for them to stand with legs evenly apart in front of me and I’ll hit them front on.

Hard to fathom we are winning. I dont think we have plkayed anywhere near our best. Lets hope we do our 3 quarter blitz and not ay pn their terms.

I agree was basically a basketball charging foul situation.  I don't think it should have been a free in AFL football, but it would have been very hard for Oliver to stay upright.

Lucky to be in front, need to lift across the board really

Yep! We're playing very ordinary footy, and we're winning (thanks to Hawks wasting chances), just imagine if we get our ship together!

Oh well, we are ahead. Melksham and Hannan need to lift. And Tyson is useless

the Hawks setup took the running early and they have controlled most of thre play IMO.

I'm glad that Goody hasn't shown his hand YET.  by making panic moves...  I feel like we've started to adjust to the hawks setup and intensity.

I think we can lift from here... but as Lew said, we have to get in harder & lower for the ball, and win the contests... bang more bodies D's.

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
