Also, I was able to get extra tickets for last weeks game a few days beforehand.  I think the AFL mysteriously finds more tickets to release.  I would try Ticketek every few hours/days.

Wooooo Hooooooo I got tickets!!!! A huge thanks to Lucifer's Hero who gave me advice on how best to wrangle Ticketek!

For future reference for anyone who finds themselves without tickets, I went and spoke with the people at Ticketek who told me that the 'corporate seats' that don't get picked up start getting sold back to the public from the Thursday/Friday and that they go quickly. Talk about right place/right time.

Go Dee's! ?❤️

Absolutely rapt for you and your family, Sparkle!  It would have been tragic to miss the game having gone to see them play all year.

Enjoy the game!

Totally agree with this. Throwing the club 70 bucks or whatever it costs to become a 3 game member these days is not supporting the club. It's on par with having a magazine subscription. Supporting the club is going to games and cheering on the team. Clearly there are people overseas and interstate who follow the club, but I don't see why the regular attendees should miss out when it matters most.

Its the way of life mate you'll have to get used it. Richmond have 100k supporters and maybe get 20k tickets to a GF. Fact is if you want a guaranteed finals ticket you have to pay for a higher class of membership. A regular membership won't do it.

Received letters in the mail this morning from the club with information regarding Grand Final ticketing. It’s an AFL directive, the club is obliged to send out the info when 6 clubs remain and not a case of bathwater slurping.

Forms are enclosed about guaranteed ticketing and ballots. Anyone else receive letters?

Anyone else with a guaranteed ticket not got a letter yet? Starting to get a bit nervous.

I haven't got a letter.  Don't worry about it.  Go onto the MFC site here for the info:

http://m.melbournefc.com.au/finals/grand-final-information

You need to register Wednesday morning at Ticketek.

I didn’t receive a letter, only my wife and kids. I rang the club and they told me the letters get sent out to members that don’t have a phone number or email linked to their membership account. They are just making sure all members are notified.

Members with an email or phone number linked to their account will receive the info by email.

Thanks Fifty-5.  Very helpful.

On a different note, there is a comment in the link that says:   Based on their priority group, members are allocated a window during which they can register for the ballot via Ticketek.  But it also says Members wishing to sit together must register their group in one transaction using the one credit card.

Does anyone know how/when to register if friends with different membership categories (which will have different priority groups) want to sit together?

Edit:  I just notice in that link there is a detailed guide on what to do/costs etc https://s.afl.com.au/staticfile/AFL Tenant/Melbourne/PDF/Grand Final Ballot Guide.pdf

I think it answers my earlier question - If people want to sit with friends in different priority groups they need to register together in the priority group of the lowest ranked member

Some one correct me if I am wrong.

I only have 2 adult memberships, (the kids don't get to go, too far, too hard) and as I have not registered for any guarantee of finals tickets  does that mean I am in Priority group 3 ?   How busy will the club be on Monday answering these questions from all of us !     ....help....

Incorrect. Mines only a home membership and I'm in 2. Its a reserved seat though.  Pretty sure full season home membera are catergory 2

reserved seats is what gets you into category 2... "Demon Seat Members"

Priority 2 - Demon Seat Members,  Red and Blue Home and Home and Away members, MFC/MCC Premium Members and 20+ years Premium Members. So based on that the reserved seat and Indeed home or away Membership is irrelevant

Spoke to Richmond mates. They reckon it’s impossible for normal members to get tickets.  Missed out last year.

Though they had 90000 members and we have 45000 so some better chance.

Being a Demon reserved seat member (19 years) and 37 year member gets me Priority 2??

Melky weighted and change of angles work. Salem has his individual program. White cap (no contact), Howes, Woewodin and Sparrow

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
