*table flip* mcc tickets sold out in like 6 minutes AGAIN. oh well... camping out front again. Hope the MFC still gets us drinks like on Friday.

Now in same boat. What time you plann'n on queueing from?

Curious if any MCC / MFC members are going to pay for a reserved seat with there MFC membership? I am not sure weather to spend $75 bucks to reserve a seat or wait in line for a couple of hours.

I'm planning on waiting in line. The other option is applying for the dining room ballot which gives you a reserved seat and would end up being less than $75 I believe

Cheers, thanks for the heads up.

Out of curiosity I stuck with the computer browser. After 35 minutes, got through, enter barcode ...

There are no tickets available that match
the entitlements of this password or group code.

I owe someone a beer!

That's because you already used your barcode to buy tickets on the phone

I cant get any tickets in the MCC anywhere.. the site must be broken. I was in there at 12

I got in at around 12:05 and got 5 tix?

Missed out  on  these  ones.  ill try the  walk  ups  and  il be  carrying a very  big  stick  so no  cutting in   got it ?

Interesting contrast between the approach of the AFL and the MCC to selling finals tickets in their respective membership reserves.

Both roughly the same size:

AFL sells as many as it can as pre-reserved and then allows walk up for what is left.

MCC seems to sell around one third as pre-reserved and then has walk up for the rest. (Not sure how many they allot by ballot for the GF.)

I know its traditional for MCC members to walk up but one wonders if it is the future.

Make sure the toilet is open as well or it could get very messy.

Yep - just bought one for me and one for the son and heir

Missed out of MCC tickets (reserved seats). I am a full member and will line up. Fortunately I am a school teacher and can cut away from work around 2.30. Just wondering what people's experiences were last week. As in, what time did you arrive. Once the gate opened how long did it take for the line to progress to the entrance.

I got to the line at 4.30 and the gates opened at 5 pm. Once they opened it didn’t take long to get in. By 5.25 the only walk up seats we could get (there were 6 of us) was at the top of level 4.

Couldnt get tix today, so will be a similar experience this Friday.

Thanks Dee Gee,

So how far back were you in the line up when you rolled up at 4.30?

Drove past the line at 4:45 and they know set up cow herding barricades so people can't cut in like they used too but had it been a straight line like the old days it would've been at the Pullman. The line gets considerable from about 3:30 onwards so given you are lucky and can knock off early I'd suggest getting there around that time (3:00-3:15ish) and you'll be maybe 500-1000 back and a certainty for a pick of Level 1, 2 or 3 seat depending on your preference. The moment you get your seat at 5 and get your card you can bugger off to the pub or for dinner or head home for a while depending on location and arrive 2 and a half hours later ready to rumble

A hearty thank you to who suggested using a phone.

I got nervous after seeing the "Thousands of AFL fans are transacting right now. The Ticketek website is up and running and you are in a queue, waiting for your turn." message on my computer screen for an uncomfortably long time.

Got on the phone, got through the queue in the first 10 seconds, enter barcode etc ... select seat, go to pay YOUR SESSION HAS TIMED OUT

Get f***ed! still had 6 minutes on it!

Back on, this time success.

And the whole time, the computer browser has been patiently sitting in the chumps queue and still is. "Thousands of chumps  are transacting right now. The Ticketek website is up and running and you are in a queue, waiting for your turn. This is a normal part of our f***ed up operation."

Thank you again!

I'd check your email, you may have still gotten those tickets? I had the same thing happen, told me I had timed out when I payed, luckily I then checked my email, there were the tickets. ?

looking for a MCC visitors ticket can be adult or child, it would mean i can sit with my Dad and Sister- cheers.

Hard to say as the line snakes around in corrals. I’d say maybe 200m, but in terms of numbers perhaps 2000-3000.

This is good intel - thank you.

The old 'jibby tummy' trick won't work at the salt mine this Friday for many of us.....

Last week I rocked up at 4.40pm. Line was very long. I got into the ground at 5.12 and found a seat a few rows back behind the players' race.

Fair enough. But the map showed nothing available.

Ticketek 1 -- rest of the world 1,000,000

Yes, got my payment details in with literally 3 seconds to spare. Didn't relax until the email came through.

Absolutely shattered. Missed out on MCC tix and I joined queue at 11:40 as one DL member recommended doing. Tried to then get 3 tix using MFC membership but couldn't get them as I kept getting the message that that amount was not available. I even tried general admission when it opened-nope. I guess I'll be watching on from home :(

Try again, still category 5, 6 and 7   available.

On twitter Ticketek are saying the queuing starts at the insane time, not before hand.

Good luck!

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
