Adelaide at their best, at home, and with our outs would be enough for them to get over the line but are they at their best or close to that form? They struggle with pressure and I'm convinced especially after last week we'll bring it. Our form against Geelong impressed me so much and with no changes to the lineup we'll build on last week. With that the Crows will need to play really well to beat our pressure, I don't think they can, I see us being too determined and ultimately too good.

Dees to win by 42 points and fire up some confidence to win all remaining games. We should beat them

Good news - the ladder is opening up nicely.

Bad news - we are Melbourne.

I predict:

Easy goals out the back

Bombing long to forward line

Goodwin to persist with poor match ups

But we still win by 7 goals?

Wowee, by oh boy.

Another big test again tonight vs the Crows in Adelaide.

And what better antidote to last weeks heartbreak than moving a step closer to a finals spot while simultaneously ending the Crows season.

Lets get it on!

One week at a time, that's all we can do now. A win tonight and we continue to march towards finals. A loss and we will have to beat the good sides they are all saying we can't.

Dees by 59.

Hogan BOG.

This is how we should be every week from pre-season on.

One week at a time, stay focused,,,  'or mindful', of what we're doing. not getting ahead.

All the same thing... remain focused on the challenge right before us.

I don't think we've nailed this focus, just yet.

I think we'll start slow but then thump them tbh.

We don't want to start slow. We can't play catch up footy tonight.... because we won't catch up.

Need to start in front to end in front

I believe, rather ironically, that by focusing on the classic one week at a time, the challenge before us it will give our coaching staff the ability to focus on the longer term.

Funny game...

Don't you go getting all serious on me Roost, game hasn't even started yet mate!

Seriously, if all the talk pre season and during season about ‘hurting’ after last year’s debacles and last week’s heartbreaking loss, doesn’t amount to a life or death performance tonight, nothing EVER will

Most sensible thing I read all year !

Not watching tonight. Hurt hand last week punch the floor. Not this week.

Absolutely pumped for tonight

should  be a cracking contest

I’m not opposed to Pedersen playing if he plays very well

Hopefully we can find out pre-game if he’ll play very well.

Hogan, Harmes and Pedersen all visible in the rooms on MelbourneFC instagram video

Pedersen likely just warming up as the 23rd man.

If Hogan and Harmes are there, the only other one under an injury cloud was Oliver, and no way Pedders replaces him.

No late changes, according to the AFL.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
