Happened to us remember,  let's hope they drink as much bathwater as we did!

When you actually look at the ten matches the Pies have won, you quickly realise they're really nothing special.

Honestly I care who we beat when we win, the more games we win the better our opportunity to ensure a finals berth.  It also builds belief in the playing group and helps build consistent structures as you can control games and learn to continually enforce them.

A win is a win...

Uuggghhh the Collingwood media circle jerk this week will be unbearable

I've decided I'm going to enjoy the commentary on Flagpies this week. It's still clear that Richmond are the best team, and- on our day if all goes really well- I believe we can beat them.

Dees- if we can just get to the bottom half of top four- we may be blessed with finals in Victoria.

Long way to go yet- 8 more home and away games. IT IS SO LOVELY TO BE EXPERIENCING SOME HOPE!!

GO DEES

Big % booster coming up for them :(

Well bee, IF and a big IF our guys put their minds to it and don't get ahead of themselves, we have a huge percentage opportunity over the next few weeks.

Damn shame we didn’t turn up against them. We still had our fair share of sceptics throughout our winning streak though.

We beat no one because we made them look like no one.

After Pies just beat Carlton it was “ More dangerous than Richmond”. After beating Suns “ Flagpies? Ready to overtake Richmond”.

Hoping we get the last laugh over them.

A strange feeling today,  first time ever wanting the Bombers to win. And will be hoping they win next week too.

Stuff Essendon, I hope they lose by 100.

I don’t worry about how opposition games affect the MFC. As long as we keep winning, the rest will take care of itself.

We've tread on this banana peel before. Let's just win against St Kilda before the sky punching.

Self praise = faint praise and all that but I could see this debacle coming.

GWS just jumped 4 spots on the ladder (passing us, Geelong, North and Hawthorn).

Essendon and Adelaide in 11th and 12th are only one win out of the 8 (and only one win behind us).

This is an incredibly even season and our losses to Geelong, Port and St Kilda will cost us our finals spot.

Player sizes with some winning Clubs at this time of the year are certainly noticeable, even with the old blokes. Ah well, good luck with that.

Fyfe has done a hammy with the Lions in front & lol Norf losing to The Scum.

Great,  now we can go into another match thinking we've got it won before the bounce !

Watching Brisbane play it’s amazing what happens when u lower ur eyes when kicking in side 50.

We r so stupid when we bomb it long but yet we keep doing it.

Fmd.

Watching some of these bottom 4 teams just shows what happens when you bring intent!  We are still short on intent, killer mentality and effort.  Damn indictment on this group who can do much better.

Rioli announced retirement.  So early. Hawks will be in shock.

Just heard a little kid calling up and sobbing on radio, these are the things that get lost, while the media always looks for the negative stories, there's 1000's of good ones that get hidden away. Great career, super talent and thanks for the memories.

Cant blame him really,.  Hes done it all, 4 flags. He misses Darwin.

Why play a few more years and risk more injuries or concussion?

I think more players will start to retire early.

Massive blow for the Hawks, only 28!

A terrific player, obviously a solid family man too

not too many players play 25 games in their first season after getting drafted!

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
