It's a shame Caleb Daniel was injured as imagine him on Tom Boyd's shoulders for the man on the mark...

That would be a 50.

Blues can roll Port today if they bring big time pressure.  it is Kade Simpons 300th, don't let him down boyz.

Two other huge games in the race for the 8 -   Adelaide vs West Coast and GWS vs Hawthorn.

Hoping for the Crows and GWS to get up.

Suns have about a 12% chance of beating Collingwood but stranger things have happened.

Simpson is the only carlton player I admire. It would be good to see the power lose but then my MFCSS will be banging the door about tomorow.

Today is the game that has the perfect conditions to be played under the roof at etihad. Anyway it would help us if carlton could knock off port.

Good luck to trenners to

I have seen he has has 6 in the first but really hasn't done any damage. I'd be interested to see his meters gained.

Not a Trenners hater at all wish him all the best but doesn't really seem to damage.

I just really wish we chose curnow over weid.

Only positive in a Port win is the joy for Trenners

soft 50s are destroying footy.

That was a joke. He was following his man in the zone until the Port player did a sneaky behind his teammate. What’s the Carlton player meant to do in that instant?

Maybe a 25  penalty for soft ones.

How about Play on.

Too many rules now

Talking about rules, if you try to break a tackle but fail it should be holding the ball. Why are some players allowed to attempt the don't argue fail and no free given.

Looks good on the Telly??

The new camera angles are driving me nuts! They change the angle and then have a close up and you have no idea where the ball is and who is open etc.

How about anything from 30 to 70?  Hang on, that is exactly what they do now, except that it is random / due to incompetence

Years of practice perfecting the art of losing matches we should win ...

When is Bolton going to teach his team how to kick a goal?

it’s pathetic, there is no forward line

But we must be patient...

What’s the lowest total for inside 50’s? Blues might go close today. Yet to hit 30.

They must have realised they might win a game ...and took foot off.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
